Battlefield players have had a reasonably tough time with the franchise these past few years. 2018’s Battlefield V launch was a disaster, but 2021’s Battlefield 2042 was worse, pushing a lot of Battlefield fans away from the franchise. But now, with just a year until the next major installment in the Battlefield universe set to release, EA and DICE have a lot of making up to do.

The controversial 3D spotting feature has recently appeared in a Battlefield 6 playtest, and it's a mechanic with some clear pros and cons.
Where has this narrative come from and why is it being pushed? There has always been "3D Spotting" although it's always been called "Ping" or "Mark" until this stupid narrative arrived..
EA's latest listing for Battlefield 6 reveals one of the team's ambitions for the next big entry in the AAA franchise.
Moreover, it also revealed significant franchise statistics. Over 100 million players have played the game, contributing to a total playtime of 5 billion hours.
Useless Marketing mambo-Jambo. First they have to win back all the people that have lost fate in the francise after the dumpster fire of BF 2042 (like me). It is a loooong way up for EA .... Looooooooong !
I'm hoping that having Vince Zampella in charge of this game will help to get the series back on track but I won't hold my breath.
That was the plan all along behind onboarding Zampella.
The dude made the best MoH and then created CoD and then made modern warfare setting in FPS more believable with CoD4 and then created Titanfall and is now fixing Battlefield. What a career.

2042? as much I don't mind Battlefield 1 and 5, I still think they completely failed it bro!
We talking DICE one of the best developer out there and 1 & 5 is pretty horrible for DICE standard.
I have to say that I prefer way more the feeling of immersion of BF V than any other (recent) game of the series. The Audio is very immersive, playing with a squad of friends make it feel as part of a team with a mission and with a commanded in charge. The perks for which you can deploy bombs or other amenities over your enemies was just majestic and the maps where you can destroy prettymuch anything were top notch. .. but this is just my opinion. in BF 2042 you cannot even tell who are the enemies ... and you can only discern it from the red dot on top of the opposite faction ... just lame. Agree, this is a stupid marketing campaign. They should save the money for the development.
Waiting a full two weeks for the honeymoon phase of brand new game glaze fades away before I even consider purchasing this one. 2042 literally pissed me off so much and I have little faith that EA & new age DICE will deliver on what fans deserve and expect. Spent a long time playing and hoping bfv could be better only for them to ditch it once it finally was and 2042 was just a wholesale bargain bin cash grab. I won’t be giving them another dime until they can truly prove themselves worth my time and investment.

That’s the biggest fault with the battlefield franchise since BF2. They always release in an incredibly poor state. There always fixed in the end but it generally takes them ages to get to a finished state.
I guarantee it’ll launch on pc with the DX12 full screen blank boot error and it won’t get fixed for at least 3 months just like every single BF game since BF2.
I love the BF series but my god, as a developer DICE are awful!
Playtesters: "the game is too buggy and needs more time to iron out issues and improve performance"
EA: "we've had a amazing response from playtesters and the game has gone gold and scheduled to release as intended"

Jokes aside, EA has proven time and time again they are a release first, patch later company. Some fancy PR work isn't going to convince me this will be any different.
I just wanna know will destruction be on par with Bad Company 2 🤔?
Why don't they try making something new and leave battllefield to rest in its current grave
