Useless Marketing mambo-Jambo. First they have to win back all the people that have lost fate in the francise after the dumpster fire of BF 2042 (like me). It is a loooong way up for EA .... Looooooooong !

Notellin42d ago

I'm hoping that having Vince Zampella in charge of this game will help to get the series back on track but I won't hold my breath.

RaidenBlack42d ago

That was the plan all along behind onboarding Zampella.
The dude made the best MoH and then created CoD and then made modern warfare setting in FPS more believable with CoD4 and then created Titanfall and is now fixing Battlefield. What a career.

Gaming is entertainment not a drama, "Win back" is only difficult if you deliberately mess it up.

2042? as much I don't mind Battlefield 1 and 5, I still think they completely failed it bro!
We talking DICE one of the best developer out there and 1 & 5 is pretty horrible for DICE standard.

peppeaccardo41d ago

I have to say that I prefer way more the feeling of immersion of BF V than any other (recent) game of the series. The Audio is very immersive, playing with a squad of friends make it feel as part of a team with a mission and with a commanded in charge. The perks for which you can deploy bombs or other amenities over your enemies was just majestic and the maps where you can destroy prettymuch anything were top notch. .. but this is just my opinion. in BF 2042 you cannot even tell who are the enemies ... and you can only discern it from the red dot on top of the opposite faction ... just lame. Peace

Agree, this is a stupid marketing campaign. They should save the money for the development.

Waiting a full two weeks for the honeymoon phase of brand new game glaze fades away before I even consider purchasing this one. 2042 literally pissed me off so much and I have little faith that EA & new age DICE will deliver on what fans deserve and expect. Spent a long time playing and hoping bfv could be better only for them to ditch it once it finally was and 2042 was just a wholesale bargain bin cash grab. I won’t be giving them another dime until they can truly prove themselves worth my time and investment.

It'll be ruined once they too add micro transactions into an incomplete game.

Where has this narrative come from and why is it being pushed? There has always been "3D Spotting" although it's always been called "Ping" or "Mark" until this stupid narrative arrived..

The game looks amazing so far even in alpha stage. I cant wait for the full release

thorstein47d ago

If this is what they're perfecting, I will be stoked when it comes out.

RaidenBlack48d ago

Basically, felt like BF4+MW'19 gunplay, from that poor quality capture.

Sciurus_vulgaris48d ago

I would love to have a new military shooter without operators and goofy skins.

JEECE48d ago

Yep. No skins, no operators, no perks, no progression system, no microtransactions, no seasons. Sad that we'll probably never get anything like that again, except niche PC games. There is a PC game coming called Wraith Ops that is supposedly ditching many of the annoying features of modern gaming, but I think it's still going to have skins and perks, unfortunately.

Profchaos47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

It's amazing you have to even ask for your military shooters to have soldiers and just Soldiers in them.

Shoes how much greed and mtx has erroded the industry

Or it just shows how old we are because kids apparently love this stuff and would rather spend $100 decking out their character in a shooter where you play it in first person than buy a new game

JEECE47d ago

Once gamers let the gameplay become secondary to the metagame (the progression system and "earning" the next gun/skin/loot box/perk/attachment/etc), we were always going to end up here. If people won't just play for the gameplay and need a "reason" to play, it naturally follows that devs have to keep coming up with things for them to "earn" when they fill up the next progress bar.

A lot of this seems to come from kids growing up with mobile games, but sadly even a lot of older gamers have been corrupted as well. I largely blame COD and Destiny.

I put so much hours into battle field 3. If they go back to it, just take my money.
Everyone doing some crazy fatalities for back melee but BF3 stab take your dog tags will always be GOATED for me

Chryzz2347d ago

I hope this comes out good, we need battlefield back
