I have been slowly working my way though this game for months. I keep playing other games in between but I want to finish it before DS2.
I ended up with over 140 hours on it, but I wasn't exactly rushing. Ended up seeing to it that all roads were rebuilt too.
There are still a few Half Life missions left that I think I'll do.
Man I love this game. Platinumed it and played through it a 2nd time just for fun. I'm day 1 with bells on for the sequel

Review - If you are looking for a truly unique game, with an off-the-walls story, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be seen as a treat.
It got a lot of hate from people who weren’t going to play it because it was only on PlayStation at launch but it’s a unique game that I recommend to anyone who wants to play something a little different. It’s a little slow in the beginning(like a lot of games) but the atmosphere is great, gameplay is fun, and the story is weird which I always appreciate. Definitely buy it. We need more weird shit in gaming especially at this level of quality
This game was a breathe of fresh air in an industry of recycled genres. Playing through it felt like taking a nice shower after a week. Glad it has gotten a good reception finally by non ps/pc players.

Wow 19 million. The hate this game got was unbelievable but it's one of my favourite games of all time. To play the sequel on the PS5 Pro will be a joy indeed. Hope the Xbox users who decided to play it are enjoying themselves and are getting immersed in the game.
You're acting like it was hate out of nowhere though. Some people either liked it but just didn't think it was as good as others made out or they just flat out didn't care for it themselves. That's all.

Whaaaaa? If anything, Death Stranding being a Kojima game is what makes people defend it so much
If Kojima had nothing to do with it and it was from an unknown or lesser known development team it wouldn't have gotten some of the passes it did. Sometimes it feels like people will make more of a big deal over the game because it's from Kojima.
The game isn't bad or terrible but it's not fantastic or on the iconic level of something like Metal Gear Solid, I personally would have preferred his Silent Hills idea put into a brand new IP over a sequel to Death Stranding.
Yeah the reception was mixed when Death Stranding was released. Think a lot of people preferred his vision of Silent Hills.
I think some games are not for everyone and people need to realise that these days.
It’s a good game. Innovative, addictive even. But it’s different, some would argue not mainstream.
I’m just glad big developers are still willing to do something different. Not all games need to be FPS.

Unless its free on gamepass its about to flop. Kojima bout to learn the hardway why alot of developers skip xbox.
I really enjoyed it, I'm close to getting the Platinum, then I'll play it again with the Director's Cut edition.

Now that Kojima owns the IP, I definitely can see DS2 coming to Xbox rather sooner than later!

With that much of a price reduction it would be a real shame if it didn’t sell well.
Unless we see the sales number we don't know if it's selling like hot cakes. Being ahead of call of duty for a day when it's on gamepass doesn't really say a million sales(which is a selling like hot cakes number)
But it is outselling the full game call of duty if you look at the image on the article it is only behind the 27 dollar COD Vault edition upgrade.
