Spain is in Europe aka West, Spain (Hispania back then) gave birth to Roman emperors like Trajanus, Adrianus and Teodosi, you don't have to westernize Spain, it's been the West from the very minute it existed.

You can clearly see in the wiki link that in Spanish she is called Isabel: "Isabella I (Spanish: Isabel I; 22 April 1451 – 26 November 1504),[2] also called Isabella the Catholic (Spanish: Isabel la Católica)"

If you want to talk about an historical Spanish figure, use her name of origin, just like we in Spanish don't say Jorge Washington or Juan Kennedy, but George Washington and John Kennedy. But that's if you want to be respectful with the woman that was partly responsible of the discovery of America, maybe that's not important enough.

Queen Isabel is know as Queen Isabella in the United States. She is also know as Isabella in Germany and Izabelle here in France. King Henry is know as King Heinrich in Germany and Enrique in Spain. You should get your history facts straight, quite common to have localized names for Queens and Kings from the past. The devs are correct.
