The streamer played and streamed at least ten leaked Nintendo games early, bragged about it, and emailed Nintendo directly about carrying on.

I hate Nintendo for the way they treat gamers in general, but this guy was asking for it:

"- A streamer played several Nintendo Switch games before release;
- They openly bragged about having multiple accounts to stream from;
- They emailed Nintendo directly about plans to continue doing so;
- They emailed Nintendo about helping folks find new versions of emulators, such as Yuzu and Ryujinx;
- Nintendo is seeking damages that could rack up to millions;
- Nintendo has a lot of evidence."

Probably why they never put any money into making decent powered hardware, the money they have all goes into court cases and lawyers. They really love suing people, I wonder if they are secretly a US company in Japanese disguise.

While my sentiment towards Nintendo is low right now, that guy is stupid for mooning a giant.

Nintendo is probably scared of this statement regarding Switch 2 " But if the Switch 2 indeed uses NSP files, the chances are high that fewer steps would be involved to make emulators work on the Switches successor, as developers are used to work with that file format."

If this is true the Switch 2 ROMs will be available on torrent sites probably in a few months of release of Switch 2 or sooner. There will be emulators you can count on that.

Should have bounced his ip to North Korea or something….. bet Nintendo can’t sue there 🤣

Chocoburger166d ago

This guy is an idiot poking the bear.

I don't root for the big conglomerates often, but I hope Nintendo wins this case, and he cries about it for the rest of his sorry life.

Sgt_Slaughter166d ago

People will clown on Nintendo simply for reading the headline only, but what this guy did was monumentally idiotic. Leaking games is one thing, actively encouraging others to download said games AND antagonizing the company that makes said games is the fastest way to find yourself in some deep you-know-what
