Wait wait did they admit to making base ps5 games worse so the customer has to get the pro version of a console to get better performance? that again is so apple nerf the base product to make the pro/higher version more appealing though this is software.

Please list this ps5 only games you speak of also they said 5 years of planning to make the ps5 pro they buy in bulk so getting a deal on a new cpu would make sense they had to make a whole new chip for the system to get that gpu upgrade anyhow. For us on the am4 platform you can get a 5700x3d for $180 again that is not direct or in bulk.

I never said anything about there graphics ok you half to sit down now focus look at the games running 30fps 60fps now imagine they could be running 60fps 120fps but sony said no to push the pro model that is what i am saying.

Anyone on a gaming pc knows about how to change framerate with the same hardware in a graphics menu its not hard so they could have gimped the ps5 on purpose.

In no way did they say anything remotely like that, PlayStation exclusives have across the board been praised both for their graphics and their performance on PS5.

They just released AstroBot and Lego Horizon is coming out soon, they have Ghosts of Yotei, Death Stranding 2 and Wolverine coming out next year with other announcements likely. And on top of that they published and secured the biggest single player exclusives so far this year, games like Rise of the Ronin, Pacific Drive, Stellar Blade, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Zenless Zone Zero, Silent Hill 2 and many others. Clearly they still highly value single player games.

no everyone is not seeing what i am saying they could have gimped that version to sell the pro model yes it was amazing looking there in house upscale tech is awesome.

But how much power did they use of the base ps5 version? i played horizon FW at the end just before you fight on the island with the original survivors and during the la dlc framerate was a issue perhaps they knew this but left it as is for the pro version to fix even though they could have on the base model.

The PS2 released in 2000 and still had several games released in 2010 & later.
The PS3 released in 2006 and still had several games released in 2017 & later.
The PS4 released in 2013 and is still getting game releases.
So the most likely scenario is that yes the PS5 will still be getting game releases in 2030.

This is correct, PS4 will still getting games and generating money in 2030.

There is no tech foreseeable that the PS6 could add that would cause a generational leap over the PS5 Pro. The thing that is generational is the chip that does AI upscaling but that is in the Pro.

The TF age is largely over, the next age is AI.

You can't just make up what you want.
When you make a console you do 2 things. You design what's possible now, and you try to predict what you'll need in the future/what will be possible in the future.
And just like any other generation a 10 year cycle doesn' t mean that the next generation doesn't overlap, it doesn't mean after 10 years the PS4 became obsolete and the PS5 is released the next day. It means the current generation remain viable for at least 10 years, and that's all it means. It's literally a value proposition.

PS4 came out in 2013, pretty sure games were still coming to it in 2023...so yeah 10 years. Doesn't mean it's the lead platform or there won't be a PS6 in 2030. It I'm sure there will be downgraded ports or 3rd party support still then.

i never did xbox sure there going that way but sony need's to go back to making games for there system with 0 cross play.

If they make games day one pc then there is 0 point in the playstation console sense pc has discord multiple digital stores with sales and all your ps studio games.

Why would Sony want to put everything into the PS5 Pro when you can save your best for the PS6 and use the PS5 Pro as an experiment for new AI technology? Some people expect the PS5 Pro to be this super ultra gaming PC. It’s not meant to be. And imo it’s better to get the PS5 Pro than this new Xbox going for 999 AUD that is a cosmetic change. It’s still more expensive to make a PC version of the PS5 Pro. I can’t believe people are still upset. No one’s forcing you to buy it. In fact, if those that are still angry, then that shows they wanted to get the upgrade. Even though they talk crap about the new console.
