Ah Reloaded is the new marketing term for Re-Remastered.

koko_19882d ago

Yeah, that's second remaster of the game, it's crazy

Cacabunga2d ago

Looks great, i will get it if it gets disc release

spicelicka1d 19h ago

I really don't think there's anything crazy about this. The first time it was a proper remake after 9 years. It has been 10 years since that remake and this is just a touch up for them to release it on Playstation, it would be worse if they DIDN'T remaster it. Also it's free for people that already own the ultimate edition on xbox. I don't see a problem here.

Never played the first one (I started with Gears 2) so I’ll be getting this. Good price point too. Already at #2 on PS Store pre-orders!

Obscure_Observer2d ago

I´m gonna feel good popping some Steam and PS5 players heads wide open in 120fps!

Join us in blood! Welcome brothers!

So so good. Can't wait to feel every rip of that chainsaw on the Dualsense controller. Seriously trophy is mine and that first ever Gears of War platinum is going to be a thing of beauty.

Profchaos1d 21h ago

I'm hoping the ps5 disc is the whole game on the disc surely it has to be

Oh man, I'm super pumped to play this series again... ON PLAYSTATION!

KicksnSnares18d ago

I'm going to play Gears Ultimate Edition to get ready for Gears Reloaded. There's no wall canceling in Gears 1. I just hope PlayStation players new to the series have patience because you are going to start off struggling in multiplayer against us Gears OG’s. I'd been playing Gears since 2006. It’s a huge learning curve.

ocelot0716d ago

Majority of Gears OG from 2006 probably all moved to Playstation by now.

KicksnSnares16d ago

I couldn't care less. PS Only players new to the series are going to get cooked in crossplay multiplayer. Gears 5 removed the option to disable crossplay with PC players. Hopefully, they will give PS the option to disable crossplay if they are not comfortable to face Xbox/PC players

KaoticBrock15d ago

The MP isn't rocket science and PS players aren't gonna get cooked by Xbox players. It literally takes about 5 mins to get every aspect of the MP, it's not very technical. It's a great MP game and everyone will enjoy it.

Obviously. Nothing is off the table.

I'm thinking there will be games that were initially pitched to PS... so starfield makes sense. If they bring flight sim, I would want that to include VR2 support. As for a halo game... a remaster of Reach would be a good start.

Profchaos37d ago

I think if they were to remaster a halo game they'd start at the beginning with halo ce

Neonridr37d ago

Awesome. Would love to play this again. Bonus that I can do it on my Pro instead of having to use my PC.

neutralgamer199237d ago

so i guess we can rule out a gears of war collection and now instead will get 1 game at a time at $40. MS have gone the complete other direction now it's all about maximum revenue

Christopher37d ago

It might be more they don't want to wait for everything to be ported and want to release them one-by-one rather than having people wait a year or longer. Possibly?

neutralgamer199237d ago

Christopher this collection has been rumored for a while so I guess you are right I was just hoping for a complete collection

Profchaos37d ago

If they can sell each entry for 39 bucks at the end of the day they can make more off of the trilogy than a single bundle

Neonridr37d ago

yeah it's not like Sony has sold us TLOU 2 on PS5 twice now.

neutralgamer199237d ago

Sadly that's true for so many re-releases. We know GTA6 will come out on PS5/XS than PC and when next Xbox and PS6 comes out it will release on it at full price again

-Foxtrot37d ago

Why act like that and bring up Sony?

I think what he was saying was because a Gears of War Collection has been rumoured for ages and now it’s just one game…that’s literally it, it wasn’t supposed to be a dig. Jeez.

Outside_ofthe_Box36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

@Fox

He's still a disgruntled soldier in the war that has been long over... otherwise why bring up Sony if one is not triggered by neutralgamer's statement...

Neonridr36d ago

@Foxtrot - because the OP was trying to single out MS as some money hungry corporation. Sony is just as susceptible. Otherwise, what's with the maximum revenue comment?

@Outside_ofthe_Box - I play on my Pro more than any other console right now. I support all 3. I don't pledge allegiance to one piece of plastic.

neutralgamer199236d ago

Hey Neo, I just wanted to clarify that I wasn’t trying to single out Xbox in my earlier comment. I genuinely wasn’t taking shots at any one platform—my disappointment was more about the trend we're seeing across the board in the industry.

There were strong rumors about a full Gears of War Collection, so I was really hoping for something like a complete package—ideally including all the Gears games and DLC. Even if they priced it at $79.99, I think a full, definitive edition would have been a much better value for fans. Instead, it looks like we’re getting the games one at a time, starting with just one for $40, and possibly more to come—again, with added costs.

But to be fair, this isn’t just an Xbox thing. PlayStation did something similar with The Last of Us and Part II, and now Nintendo’s re-releasing Zelda again for the Switch 2 and still charging separately for DLC. Across all three platforms—Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo—it feels like we’re seeing higher prices on hardware, software, and accessories, along with these re-releases that aren’t always complete editions.

I totally understand the business side of things, but as a long-time gamer, I was just hoping this generation might bring us more complete experiences right out of the gate. Still, I get that this is the era we’re in—where many beloved titles will get repackaged and resold

MS did right with oblivion remake and putting dlc with the release for 1 price

Neonridr36d ago

@neutralgamer1992 - yeah it's a disappointing trend, I will fully agree with you there.

I think i prefer this over the countless remaster that have left the mp out. Uncharted and tlou in looking at you.
