WTMG's Leo Faria: "The main takeaway is that you will probably enjoy Faith: The Unholy Trinity not because of its gameplay or (lack of) scare factor, but because of its excellent worldbuilding and writing. At first, the game actually felt foreboding and tense, even with its intentionally limited presentation. Upon reaching its occasional boss encounters, and finding out a good chunk of the experience could be summarised as risk-free trial-and-error gauntlets, all tension was thrown out of the window. I kept playing it because of its amazing atmosphere and creativity, not because of any horror-related elements. It’s still worth a try on the Switch, if you haven’t played it elsewhere. Just be aware that it won’t be the ultimate scary event of 2024, of the highlight of your Halloween gaming binge."
Get your crucifix ready because Faith The Unholy Trinity is out on Switch. We got our hands on it and through the terror comes our review!
I’ll wait for the PS5 version as that’s how I do my collection. If it’s Switch only I’ll get games on Switch but if it’s multiplat I’ll always choose PS5.
PS5/Xbox versions are supposed to be coming in the near future so I’ll wait and see. Physical only of course
CCG writes - "Originally released in 2017 and 2019 as Faith Chapter I and Chapter II through itch.io, Faith is an entry into the survival horror genre created by Airdolf Games. Faith in 2022 is released as a trilogy known as “The Unholy Trinity” and is the only modern way to play this series (and by extension Faith Chapter III) as of writing this review as the separate itch.io versions of Faith I and Faith II are no longer available."
MonsterVine: "After all these years, the final chapter of Faith turned out to be worth the wait, and with all three chapters bundled in the Unholy Trinity release."
