Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is on the verge of release, and if you're wondering how it compares to the original, read ahead.
Playstation writes: "Starting with tomorrow’s release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC, we’re working to add more benefits to playing with an account for PlayStation Network. The Last of Us Part II Remastered (coming April 3, 2025), in addition to God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, will all soon be adding in-game content unlocks for PlayStation Network account users.
An account for PlayStation Network will become optional for these titles on PC. Players who still opt to sign into a PlayStation Network account will also enjoy added benefits like trophies and friend management."
VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "We're living in the era of remasters today, with seemingly every even remotely relevant title of yesteryear getting its second - or sometimes third - turn at the spotlight. Yet, many of these returning names end up back right where they came from, lost and forgotten amidst a sea of other remasters, remakes, and reimaginings. Not the case with these four titles, which were given a new lease on life in 2024, and made the most of that opportunity."
Guerrilla Games' custom upscaling technology is one of the most impressive Digital Foundry has seen running on consoles.
It would be nice if they did not increase the old versions price delisted the original from steam and pull a rockstar making this the only version you can get now except for GOG/ps4 psn? so far then the forced psn login now.
So with that in mind my response to this is meh not worth all that inconvenience that i described and the new price.
No offense to these guys but just pulling a bunch of comparison screens from Reddit when Digital Foundry have a full breakdown video https://n4g.com/news/263420...
Looks decent but I'm curious how night's look. In the original night time had a horrible green tint to everything and even Forbidden West had this weird night time color filter I couldn't stand. Don't know why games can't just make night time dark and a bit gray like real life
I was originally super skeptical but once the digital foundry video comparisons dropped, I was shocked at how much they upgraded. $10 upgrade is a no brainer, especially since it will look even better on Pro
Looks solid.
