I recently played through this. It does not need a remaster. Just like the last of us didn't need a remake.

But on the Pro, Joel will have 4 more hair chest than the regular Ps6

Only for 1000$

just_looken212d ago

The pc version of horizon one is all what people need its hardware requirements are low and maxed out looks way better than what was on ps4. Its always cheap on GOG

But sony is all into remaster of a remaster of a remaster with the original game not ever 7 years old.

Why not remake/remaster ps3 era games like killzone 2 if you got such a remaster boner sony.

Of course it would be best to get new games but so far this gen we have gotten more remakes/remasters than fresh new games from sony :(.

Grilla211d ago (Edited 211d ago )

It’s a lot more work to remaster ps3 games. There was supposed to be. a Horizon tv show. That’s why we got a remaster. Now I’m kinda thinking it’s because of the Lego horizon game. Ppl keep complaining about remasters but it’s all tied to shows or movies releasing. Someone watching the last of us on hbo or plays Lego horizon might feel inclined to try the original game out. Now they don’t have to play a old game with dated graphics.

@Grilla

Horzon zero dawn came out in 2020 on pc and 2017 on the ps4 how is that old/dated?

If people think is is old/dated then they must look at games from 2006-2013 era as something that came out when tv tubes was a thing.

games from 360/ps3 can easily be remastered for modern devices now exclusive ps3 games yes that would be a challenge because of the ps3 os/cell design but that is why i would toss $50 because they put work in and earned the cash not some 3 month rush job.

"Why not remake/remaster ps3 era games like killzone 2 if you got such a remaster boner sony."
I asked this question tii. Apparently killzone franchise made only 7.5 million compared to HZD alone with 24million.

LoU didn't need a remake, but I'm currently on my second run on the PS5 version and I wouldn't go back to playing older versions. Audio is fantastic. Enemy AI is better (and I'm pretty sure more challenging). Better lighting, atmosphere, etc.
I am a bit surprised how glitchy it is though. No game-breaking bugs that I've encountered, but quite a few odd things, and graphical/lighting glitches that break immersion.
Also, physics better too I think (although it's been a while since I beat the PS4 version).
Oh, and Dualsense/haptics are excellent too.

pwnmaster3000212d ago (Edited 212d ago )

Bro same.
I was not about that remake but dam. Now that they put it on plus, I beat that game in 2 days. I can’t go back to the original

But for me, I honestly didn’t encounter no glitches… but there was one time the light ray looked weird but not enough to break immersion.

Knushwood Butt212d ago

Yeah, I've had that light ray thing a few times, like when you move between direct sunlight and into shadow. It's a bit like flipping a light switch. In Bill's town it can be quite noticeable.

Knushwood Butt210d ago

Wow, LoU Part 1 crashed/froze on me twice tonight.
Game crashed and reset when I was reading a letter/collectable
Game completely froze during the end credits.
Come on ND, game's been out for two years.

Decima's a great engine. I couldn't care less for this remaster, but I'd love to see Decima get adopted by others aside from Kojima with Death Stranding

just_looken212d ago

Like the fox engine there just left on the side with everyone jerking off to unreal engine so sad

Best Remaster of 2024

VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "We're living in the era of remasters today, with seemingly every even remotely relevant title of yesteryear getting its second - or sometimes third - turn at the spotlight. Yet, many of these returning names end up back right where they came from, lost and forgotten amidst a sea of other remasters, remakes, and reimaginings. Not the case with these four titles, which were given a new lease on life in 2024, and made the most of that opportunity."
