Tl;dr The disc version, without updates, has thicker eyebrows and less flattering camera angles.

Since when is a disc build referred to as a "hidden alternate version" of any game?

jeromeface210d ago

since game companies started patching the hell out of them post launch...

Tacoboto210d ago

The article says this build was from April making that even worse.

The MGS Collection disc build sucks and Konami strikes again here. They're in hot competition with WB and Ubisoft

THhs here alot of games have cut content/stuff added or just altered after it was tossed out.

Cyberpunk ps4 1.0 still has stuff today's version does not have

Since reactionaries are drawn to any headline that might imply censorship.

Well I don't patch my games so that will be interesting to see

MetroidFREAK21209d ago

Simply put, I find it fun. Plus, it enables me to be more selective about my game purchases to ensure they work. I do research to make sure the games I want work out of the box

Andrew336209d ago

running worse versions of games on purpose is definitely strange.

MetroidFREAK21208d ago

Or if you do research and see what games with no/minor issues is a lot of fun. Been doing this for about a year now

I kind of wish they did. Like I’d love if they could take him and what was established and crank the scares up to 11 with him.

Silent Hill 1 first!
I think they should give castlevania and mgs rising to platinum games

RaidenBlack80d ago

Or a new original Silent Hill entry and then the Silent Hill 1 Remake?
you know going alternatively ... by that we get both new entries as well as remakes

Terry_B80d ago (Edited 80d ago )

A remake of the first Silent Hill would be great. Let a team take Castlevania that is known for experiences with either Metroidvania games or 3D Combat.

I think they still have a good relationship with Mercury Steam... I quite enjoyed their Lord of Shadows games in the franchise. They would be a good one to take on the next CV game as they have the experience you mentioned.

Terry_B80d ago

I think Mercury Steam is actually working on another Metroid game right now :-)

RaidenBlack80d ago

MercurySteam is working on their own ARPG project, to be revealed soon.

VersusDMC80d ago

Either remake Silent hill 1, 3 or a new silent hill game would be great. After Silent Hill 2 (third favorite game last year) i trust that studio now and am anticipating Cronos: The New Dawn.

Please make SH1 remake.. Not SH3...
