I guess they're talking about the first dungeon grand cathedral ,it will take several in-game days to complete because you need to restore your MP, at that point in the game there isn't many items that restore MP and most people won't use the MC mage archtype to grind away for MP points. Still it's not that hard or boring you can literally teleport back to the safe room so it's not like the game forces you to star from the entrance. some people seem too bored to actually "play" a game....

No it doesn't. Either conserve your use or swap your protagonist to mage for a bit and beat down the weakling enemies that respawn frequently and can be killed in overworld fightinng. It's not much but you'll get 1 MP back per kill and can easily grind some back if you are that desperate.

...I don't think I've ever ran out of MP except for the very first dungeon that teaches you the game

If you bothered to learn about the game you’d know there’s an archetype with a passive skill that heals your MP..

I love the game, but biggest issue for me is that a story heavy game like this only have about 10% voiced scripts.
I do have a couple of other issues, but that's the main thing that makes this just another good but not amazing jrpg.
Also the protagonist finally can talk, but only in the FMV cutscenes or the few times you chose out of 2-4 responses.
Most of the time, just like in other anime games, someone else speaks for you, and in this case "Navi".

I'm 60 hours in, will still play this through and probably grab the Platinum, but I would enjoy those games so much more without the "Time Pressure", if it was fully voiced storytelling, more grind friendly (at least shopkeepers in dungeons, or any way to grab full health/mana), skip the invisible walls etc.

What keeps me is the amazing soundtrack, the great story and the deep character developments system.

This game seems amazing and I want to play it. I got a package delivered to me (and with my wife’s name on it, but the wrong address) and found a PS5 Collectors Edition of the game in it. That’s one hell of a big game box. I have no idea how this is even possible, but I took the game to that address and I exchanged it to the mother of a lucky kid, for a giant flower pot my wife ordered that was delivered to this kids house. I feel he got the better deal since I know that 20 gallon flower pot isn’t gonna fill itself.

This is how most Atlus games are . Just conserve your MP. Push as far as you can in a dungeon . Come back the next day if you have to .
