Just a fyi fans of the series remade the pc version with 60fps cut scenes no shutter and no bloated AAA budget

https://youtu.be/wX2GpqHxIJ...

https://enhanced.townofsile...

All free amazing work once again fans can do more stuff than what the ip holder can do with paid workers.

Not to say these fans did not get paid but you should know what i mean

Einhander1972206d ago

Yea.... no thanks.

I will play it on my PS5 Pro and support the developers so they can keep making games and the industry stays alive and healthy.

Wow, that's a really cool story.

lucasnooker205d ago

I bet you don’t play any old games anyway… lol

Einhander1972205d ago

lucasnooker

What does that even mean?!?

I played "retro" games when they were new...

And I still replay some of my favorites from time to time, but the fact is time is always moving forward and I don't even have enough time to play all the new games I want.

The 60fps mod breaks an animation at the beginning where James is leaning on the railing as it transitions to gameplay.

BlaqMagiq1206d ago

No thanks. I'll play the amazing remake.

@Einhander1972'

Man you are so out there must be high all the time there are so many examples of games making alot of money but still get mass layoffs or the entire team laid off.

Not 2 years ago it was shown how activision hired entire q a teams for cod games when the game was done contract over you all are fired then all those layoffs after even though billions were made.

But you think sales=job security wow that is delusional.

@ANIALATOR136

This was done by fans that made the cutscens have better framrate than this official version they had 0 source code 0 support from official sources.

But yeah everyone go support the official version that cost $60 that has worse framerates shuttering and they DEi changed the character models.

Man humanity future is bleak.

Einhander1972206d ago

Are you seriously trying to imply that somehow not buying games is the solution to well... anything at all...

Plus, this has nothing to do with Activision.

Stuttering idk why has just always been such a problem on so many games on pc especially UE games. Many devs really just don't care enough unfortunately.

just_looken206d ago

So true its because so many love to support fsr/dlss/xess/pssr tech that allows them to toss out unoptimized trash.

Einhander1972206d ago

This has nothing to do with upscaling, it's a problem with UE5.

--->Another Unreal Engine 5 game<--- blighted by stutter

And obviously unoptimized games existed before upscaling.

Eonjay206d ago

If you listen to the commentary, it looks like there is a timing issue in UE5. Although they did heavily hint that there might be a problem in Windows, they also noted thar a similar issue seems to be on PS5 as well. So clearly there is a UE5 issue at large..

CrimsonIdol206d ago

Seems like delta time is broken. As he mentioned delta time is always a little problematic but it should NOT be reporting time like this when the frame rate is perfectly smooth and evenly paced in reality. Fantastic discovery tbh and hopefully results in some progress fixing this moving forward. I'm going to try this fixed rate 30fps little hack myself. As I don't mind 30fps if it's delivered smoothly.

Agent75206d ago

I mean, it still looks like it plays drab. I wouldn't bother if you played it on the PlayStation 2, otherwise, wait until it's discounted or pick it up cheap used.

TheKingKratos206d ago

This engine is a mistake... And should have been worked on before release as it effects both Pc and Consoles as well and developers are yet to master it

Cockney206d ago

An honest question: are there any Sony 1st party studios using ue5?
I hope not but maybe Sony bend again, we'll see

lukasmain206d ago

I'm pretty sure Bend will be using it. They used Unreal for Days Gone afterall

MrBaskerville206d ago

Pretty sure Neonkoi is using UE5, but they might be doing a mobile game. Not really sure what their deal is.

I kind of wish they did. Like I’d love if they could take him and what was established and crank the scares up to 11 with him.

Silent Hill 1 first!
I think they should give castlevania and mgs rising to platinum games

RaidenBlack71d ago

Or a new original Silent Hill entry and then the Silent Hill 1 Remake?
you know going alternatively ... by that we get both new entries as well as remakes

Terry_B71d ago (Edited 71d ago )

A remake of the first Silent Hill would be great. Let a team take Castlevania that is known for experiences with either Metroidvania games or 3D Combat.

darthv7271d ago

I think they still have a good relationship with Mercury Steam... I quite enjoyed their Lord of Shadows games in the franchise. They would be a good one to take on the next CV game as they have the experience you mentioned.

Terry_B71d ago

I think Mercury Steam is actually working on another Metroid game right now :-)

RaidenBlack71d ago

MercurySteam is working on their own ARPG project, to be revealed soon.

VersusDMC71d ago

Either remake Silent hill 1, 3 or a new silent hill game would be great. After Silent Hill 2 (third favorite game last year) i trust that studio now and am anticipating Cronos: The New Dawn.

MehmetAlperTR71d ago

Please make SH1 remake.. Not SH3...
