Limited Run games is collaborating with Sega to release a very special collector's edition of the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations on Switch.
Arriving at some point in 2025 and retailing for an eye-watering $249.99, the package nevertheless comes with some pretty cool extras.

Honestly, this might be the first time since playing the original Sonic games on my 3DS that playing Sonic handheld has felt so this good, this absolutely polished. Fast-paced levels mixed with being able to play in bursts in handheld mode. This might be a decade-old title, but it’s almost like this game had been originally crafted with the Switch 2 in mind, almost in a savant-like manner>"
Placing above the Switch version but below the PS5, Sonic X Shadow Generations' Switch 2 port is serviceable, but only diehard fans need reapply.
Sonic X Shadow Generations runs at 60 fps on Performance Mode, putting it on parity with the PS5 version and outperforming PS4 and XBO.
I should hope that the newest console can outperform 12 year old consoles. The bar appears to be set low with Switch 2 reviewers
Buying this awesome set, but the Japanese-exclusive Crystal Art Cube DX double pack set is my overall favorite.
