A PlayStation Showcase is rumored for September 2024, and an insider claims leakers "should hear whispers about the next PS event soon".
Take-Two CEO says that Rockstar Games want its upcoming open world action game, GTA VI, to be the best entertainment product ever created.
Can’t wait! Like my hype has never been this high for a game. I hope it really delivers and looks like what they’re showing. Like, I’ll finally feel like we’ve entered next-gen if it does.
I can't wait for this overblown cutscene game to come out so i never buy it and spend money on it.
Technically it looks incredible but I’m a bit disappointed that it’s turned into a franchise about heists. I miss the more carried mission structure. I miss having just one playable character too.
They're definitely gonna charge 2x. Full cost for the story. $80 Full cost for the MP. $80 complete $160 Bundle with some in game currency and Cosmetic dlc. $200
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "During my time at PAX East, Sorlie walked me through two titles: the original Bubsy on SNES (his personal favorite) and the now infamous Bubsy 3D, the franchise's first foray into three dimensions. Each game in the anthology will feature the quality-of-life features common to Limited Run's Carbon Engine, including rewind, save states, screen & filter options, and even an optional "boost mode" that overclocks the system slightly to remove slowdown."
My one friend and I loved Bubsy 1. We used to compare him to Sonic all the time. So with us and the one person from this article it has at least three fans. 🤣
I was so lucky as a kid my parents convinced me to rent Busby 3d first because I was full steam ahead on buying it with my pocket money based on the advertising alone.
"The Germany/US-based indie games publisher Aerosoft and Munich-based (Germany) indie games developer Thera Bytes games, are today very glad and thrilled to announce that the full version (v1.0) of their zombie-themed sandbox/lab builder/survival game “Zombie Cure Lab” (from the AAA sim vets at Aerosoft), is coming to PC via Steam, and consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) via digital stores on May 27th, 2025." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
It's about to go off.
Lookin' at you Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch (and maybe a hint from Cory Barlog)
... and hoping for Wolverine and Marathon gameplay.
Only two or three days after New Year's Eve they had thrown out a very difficult statement to make: no major 1st party titles until at least March '25.
It STILL amazes me to imagine how they most certainly must have resisted to drop the news. And once they did, how they were probably avoiding the Internet for weeks.
Now that we're past this:
Playstation's celebrating its 30th anniversary in this year's December.
Up until then, 12 months of almost complete silence will have gone by.
I'd be suprised if Sony would just write about their anniversary on their PS Blog.
My bet:
Sony's been cooking alot.
At this point in time, they either have finalized their announcement plans for Q4 (Black Friday & Holiday season) or are still evaluating on if there will be a Showcase in Fall or in December.
IF the PS5 Pro is real and IF Playstation Studios are finally able to show what they've been working on, then I am just thrilled for their next Showcase and Q4.
Don't sing it bring it!!
If they announce Ghost 2 for May or June of next year then expect that at this event or at the game Awards. Ghost 2 and Bends New IP and Fairgames (if you're into that) should be closer to release but that depends if they announce it at this showcase and the game awards in terms of how close those 2 games are ready for release. If those games are no at either event then expect those games a ways off still.
The pro event will focus on 1st and 3rd party to show off the improvements. Hopefully with a new surprise of Bend, Ghost 2 or Fair games as being those newer games.
Looking forward to the event.
