Seems like the selection of games is being hailed as great. And the larger world where you have to build a laundromat into an arcade is well done. A bit like Pixel Ripped.

Arcade Paradise VR PSVR 2 Review - Console Obsession

Console Obsession says: "The flat-screen version of Arcade Paradise brilliantly transported players to the neon arcade landscape of the 90s, offering you the experience of managing your own arcade. Given its quality, it was intriguing to see what the additional immersion of VR would add to the experience. Arcade Paradise is an arcade management game focused on fun ahead of serious simulation. You play as Ashley, who decides to transform their dad's mundane laundromat into an exciting arcade."

Content like this that makes you question why more people arent lining up to drop £400 on a VR headset.

Looks fun to me, as long as the price is right.

Pay for premium headset and 90% of what you get is lower than Wii quality motion games. Even Wii motion games had some effort. It was the lack of support from AAA studios that killed VR. Plain and simple.

I agree with him. There are very few truly quality VR titles. Not enough for me to want to drop hundreds of dollars to experience something that is, still to this day, more a gimmick than a feature-filled substitution for playing games with a controller.

You may disagree, but people who are willing to put the necessary money and effort into testing it disagree with both you and him.

There are dozens of great games in the first year on the market alone. Some of these experiences are vastly better than what’s available on traditional 2d screens putting the experience of owning VR2 for games like GT7, RE4 remake, Red Matter 2, or Maddison VR on the opposite spectrum of Wii style gaming.

His comparison to Wii level quality is straight up retarded. As a medium, porting any Wii game into VR would make the motion aspect alone about 100 times more satisfying due to the improvements to motion tracking and situational awareness.

It’s true that a significant portion of the library is what looks (on a 2d image) to be Indy level, however even those games (say walkabout golf) are vastly superior to any Wii motion game and if you haven’t tried them you don’t really have a clue what you’re talking about there too.

This comment is a favorite among those not typically interested in VR. The current VR landscape offers a plethora of high-quality games and experiences for PCVR and Quest, ideal for the 2024 era of FUN.
But if you want AAA experience how about trying the several Unreal 4 conversions with UEVR?

Additionally, a major VR showcase recently featured some exciting and innovative ideas.

Lastly, It's important not to confuse Sony's unwillingness to commit to PSVR2 with the overall state of the VR world in general.
