A total of 4 games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass by the middle of August, 2024. This includes The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Protect the streets of Detroit, survive a family of horror icons, and turn digital detective with April’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup. RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory will be available to PlayStation Plus members from April 1.
Yesssss. Been wanting to give Robocop a whirl! Getting 80's nostalgia-slammed this month it seems, I guess I'll give Texas Chainsaw Massacre a shot too. Dad had me watching that stuff at like 7 years old back in the 80's. XD Game on!
I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with Robocop, one of my favorite games this gen
RoboCop and Digimon are good games. I don’t know much about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I ffigured it was a multiplayer game and wrote it off.
I got rid of my copy of Robocop after finishing the game. Now I can get it through Plus to play the dlc releasing this summer.
The game's community has been in an uproar lately over its Game Pass expiration date.
From the dev
"Game Pass is a great program, especially for small teams like ours that are trying to push relatively new genres forward. It removes so many barriers to entry for players, and enables them to sample a variety of games and genres they may otherwise never touch. Some may not find horror multiplayer for them, but we found so many new players there. And while a great many subscribers use the program to "graze," we've got an active and loyal player base that's been there since launch on all platforms. And we'll see a lot of Game Pass players convert to paid--especially since they get a discount from Xbox to do so. That's a pretty cool deal if you ask me.
We’ve enjoyed our time within the Game Pass ecosystem and who knows, maybe we’ll enter back into it again in the future. Being one of the most popular games in Game Pass this last year and winning the Xbox Excellence Award is usually a good sign that a game will not only return to that program, but also has a strong future full of new content and experiences. Bloody, gory, fun experiences. See you in Texas."
I think this is just a gamble from GUNS to see if some people will buy the game at full price (- 20%)on Xbox to keep stats, progress, and DLC.
(it's currently 70% off on PS5).
Don't be surprised if the game comes back in October or appear on PS+.
Sounds like they wanted to build a fanbase and pull out of gp with the hopes of getting some actual sales
This is creepy and nice to see more new content is coming. Today, Gun Interactive, Sumo Nottingham, and Black Tower Studios continue to put in the work to deliver fans new content in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre . With a teaser trailer showcasing his size, the newest Family member, Hands.
