Xbox-exclusive Helljumpers could be competing with Helldivers 2 very soon

Following a game type trend is one thing, but to do that and come up with a name that's very similar as well takes it to a whole new level. In the movie biz, they call stuff like this a "Mockbuster" movie, kind of like Transmorphers.

Helldivers Devs at Arrowhead should be very proud to have created an experience that will most definitely be replicated and imitated countless times moving forward. Who would’ve thunk that variety in weapons and special attacks, FUN GAMEPLAY, regular updates, and a monetary model that makes it almost unnecessary to ever buy anything with real money would be popular?

ODSTs were nicknamed Helljumpers because they dropped from a battleship right into combat zones. They even have a motto, 'Jump feet first into Hell!' If anything Helldivers seem to have incorporated that concept well into its own theme.

There's also a Halo novel published by Marvel in 2010 with the title 5 years before Helldivers was a thing.

I mean the concept of odst's came before halo. I mean in the 1999 there was a cgi animated tv show called starship troopers Roughnecks that had the mobile infantry dropped in person drop pods from troop transports. Heck they were fighting in power armour. I thought it was an awesome show for it's time. Really wish they were able to conclude it. hell divers is, to me anyways, is a homage to ship troopers with the bugs as enemies, dropping in from orbit like that universes mobile infantry, and even the mechs remind me of the marauder. Anyways its a bit dated now but I always loved that show

Sad to be honest, the industry needs more innovative titles not teams being task with the objective of chasing after some other dev teams success.
There is room for other Helldivers like titles, but maybe different genres at the very least, Horror or Fantasy, even Hero style?
But I'm hoping this doesn't become the new Dark Souls epidemic, where it's popularity leads to the market being over saturated with crappy carbon copies.
