Never been a fan of gears and I honestly tried to get into it but I can see the appeal and how big of a game it is.
Xbox wanted to Premier their OG first party games 25 years of Xbox. Forza 5, Halo, Fable for next year.

It feels like the showcase was mainly for the Asus Rog Ally X. Sarah Bond mentioned that all the games they previewed in the showcase are playable on the handheld.
They're playable on the handheld because it's a Windows-based system; what the showcase highlighted for every-single-game though was Xbox Play Anywhere.

There 100 percent worth Buying on PlayStation or even Xbox and there's also Split Screen Campaign and also Online as well so has a Online Multiplayer Modes as well.
They can be played co op or solo both a good time don't expect high art it's a 2007 era bro shooter at its best but it's a damm good time
Yes I fully understand that. But want to play the campaigns for the story element and to get ready for the new Gears games coming to Playstation in the future.
Unfortunately because I was addicted to Warhawk and then later Starhawk I didn’t played it at the time on my 360 but now that I got nothing as addictive and fun as those 2 games on my plate I’ll buy the collection if it got a physical release

Microsoft opening up their games to more gamers I thought was the goal, which to me is a great thing. More games in more gamers hands is great for all gamers. Seems like a win win win to me. They already are not selling that many consoles, so MS is making the next step which to me would end the toxic single platform fanboy exclusive mindset that many gamers seems to have, which is really not sustainable for studios we have found which has also lead to such slow releases this gen, so to me change is needed.. Microsoft is going to be fine no matter what happens with Xbox as a platform. I hope they extend the games to the Switch 2 which should also open the games up to an even larger base.

The Halo games and its lore is way too good to not have a massive world wide audience. I regretted not getting into the lore until years after the Xbox One came out nearing its end life cycle when I got a cheap one and bought the Master Chief collection. They are amazing games and I missed out especially with Multiplayer
As long as they focus on the PC and PS5 for the release it'll do great numbers. You could leave it off the Xbox completely with little to no impact on revenue.
That's not entirely true. I see what you are saying; it isn't going to sell many copies there or sell many new GP subscriptions. But if they actually started keeping new games off GP, you better believe they'd lose current subscribers. You have to factor that in too.

From a revenue perspective the sales on Xbox are negligible, the new Gears game is reliant on sales on competing platforms and PC to survive.

Developer The Coalition is seeking the assistance of People Can Fly to co-develop Gears of War: E-Day, which is a strong sign.
Judgement was terrible. Most dont even acknlowedge that game as apart of the series
Definitely one of the weaker entries in the series. Certainly nothing close to the original three.
Honestly, I'd like if People Can Fly helped with the Gears Trilogy Remaster first.
And want something other than Gears from The Coalition. So, if People Can Fly gets more involved in E-Day, Coalition can focus more on something new and original.
Gears 5 wasn’t bad. It was one of the stronger titles Xbox game studios had last generation. Let them do their thing.
Yeah, it’d be nice to have different more creative games but the state Xbox is in right now, it’s not going to happen lol
I hope the game launches with a good number of unlockable characters. Gears 5, likely to due to PvE classes initially being tied to specific characters, lacked a variety of unlockable characters during its early seasons.

Not a surprised, it’s Gears and going back to its roots is why I’m so hyped for the game. I’m hoping for a prequel trilogy. I think two years out with the launch of the next gen Xbox.
