COGconnected's picks for the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in April 2024, ranked by hype and quality expectations.
CGM got a very extended hands-on look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and it looks like BioWare has made good use of the last ten years.
The silence following Sony's removal of Concord from sale could never last, and it appears there has been some movement at the embattled Firewalk Studios. According to multiple Kotaku sources, the developers feel like they are stuck in limbo, and last week, director Ryan Ellis told staff he would be stepping down as director and moving into a support role.
Colin Moriarty: “I spoke extensively with someone who worked on Concord, and it's so much worse than you think.”
“It was internally referred to as "The Future of PlayStation" with Star Wars-like potential, and a dev culture of "toxic positivity" halted any negative feedback.”
“Making it cost $400m.“
Somebody needs the axe.
Seems like a logical conclusion when a $400 million project fails to produce a return.
Don't think I've seen a live service fail this hard lol. Even the most failed ones made decent or good money. This one was AAA budget and....made absolutely zero dollars back and shut down very quick.
Allegedly Sony's most expensive first-party game ever
If only they spent this money on new single player games would have been a better choice ,can't believe this 8 years of development for this ?
And i thought Star citizen was a scam.. /s
Wtf were they thinking.
Now the game wasn’t as bad as everyone said and I enjoyed it but ain’t no way in hell this should have been the future for PlayStation. Games like Astrobot should be it.
This low key kind of pissed me off and make me so glad Jim Ryan step down.
I hope Sony learn their lesson. It’s to late to stop the other GAAS game and I say just execute it, but let’s go back to what made them so great in all era.
Who am I, a lowly consumer of games to know any better but $400m, that just sounds like bollocks.
