Holly sh*t:

“ In the last 12 months, the Xbox 360 has outsold the Xbox Series X|S by 4.09 million units.”

Who would have seen this??

Now some people claim they want to rush out another console and start back at zero when their last two consoles have sold less than each of the two previous consoles...

It's so dumb.

Edit:

And what makes it even more stupid is that they claim this is going to be some super powerful console when their best success was selling a cheap console for people who just wanted game pass.

watch this go to slaughterhouse numbers since Kinect is about to be introduced to 360 fans. We all laugh about it, but the sales spike was real as 2011 remains the only calendar year MS outsold Sony. 360 will outsell series X/G by 30-35 mil lifetime easy.

My question will be to those that said the 360 only made it into the 80 million range because of the red ring of death. That people had to rebuy consoles, even though MS fixed them all for free.

Does that argument change now because 360 is ahead of the series X ?? All of a sudden all those 360 sales are legit ?

As for the sales disparity, I really think Halo coming out in the state that it did and a 1 year dry spell for big games. Hurt the brand. Do I think they can bounce back? Yes, but it’s going to be good, fun games that don’t push an agenda or censor you that will revive the brand.

They didn't fix them all for free. They extended the warranty twice. From the original, I think, 6 months to 1 year and then to 3 years.

They fixed mine twice for free. On top of that, red rings of death didn’t last the whole generation. They finally figured it out on the manufacturer side and fixed the problem. So the extended warranty wasn’t needed for the whole generation.

@rlow1

Yeah, I had 3 fixed. Not all red rings either. I think when they had the redesign and it was made a bit smaller, the red ring issue died off. Regardless. The originals still had the issue and after the warranty was up, you were on your own.

You bring up a good point, xbox was never as popular as people like to claim.

But even when you take that into account it's still behind the xbone, while PS4 sold almost 40m more units than PS3 and PS5 is tracking ahead of PS4 even through COVID shortages.

S2Killinit37d ago (Edited 37d ago )

The same question should be posed to those that wanted to count the sales to people who bought multiple 360s because of rrod, and in fact these sales WERE included in 360s sales.

They took the credit for these sales, now you want them to be excluded?

I remember when people confused chip shortage with genuine interest.

Little Kitty, Big City review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "A cat-based take on Untitled Goose Game has been a long time coming, especially considering there’s no better creature suited for similar fearless frolics. After all, you can’t spell ‘catastrophe’ without the word ‘cat’. Little Kitty, Big City doesn’t just provide a sandbox (litterbox?) to play around in, but also a main objective to pursue. Focus on this solely, and you’ll seeing the end credits in a couple of hours. You’ll also miss out on a lot of fun – although it probably helps if cat videos are your biggest source of entertainment."
