I assume you thought he's Jim Ryan.

Kocurstvo449d ago

Sure. My mistake... screw Ryan :) Remembering the good times when japanese Sans ruled Sega and PlayStation...

Babadook7449d ago (Edited 449d ago )

He was one the best imo. Up there with Jack Tretton.

If you actually read the article it’s really insightful as to the state of the industry. You might not like the way certain things are going, but it’s a good look as to why.

"For single-player games it’s not the same exigency [as Live Service]. But if you’re spending $250 million, you want to be able to sell it to as many people as possible, even if it’s just 10% more."

The most I ever see is a shorter window from PS to PC. I never see Sony releasing on Xbox or Nintendo, even for their GaaS titles.

Abnor_Mal449d ago

As it is right now Sony might feel that the cost of making games is not yet so high that they have to expand beyond the platform they have already started expanding on meaning pc.

When the cost becomes beyond $300 million I’m sure more platforms will start to receive something.

Business is business at the end of the day. In the short term I agree with you. The long term???? If you go back just 4-5 years ago, some on here swore that Sony would never go pc or day one. Yet we now have Sony games on the PC and day one courtesy of Helldivers 2.

My point is never say never, because the way everything has been shifting. I don’t think anyone really knows where it’s going to end up.

I agree siny start releasing on pc a lot earlier the big exclusives are fortune to make
