FullmetalRoyale98d ago

Oh, nice! Been hoping this would drop on other platforms.

Whoa, even Shin Megami Tensei is multiplatform now?

Times are really changing. Definitely a fantastic series.

gerbintosh98d ago (Edited 98d ago )

If you mean this game, then yes. However most, if not all, of the Shin Megami Tensei games were released on the PS in the past. Technically the series went multiplat when they released on the Switch

I'm speaking more broadly about the SMT games. A number of the recent entries are exclusive to Nintendo. Might also be worth mentioning TMS (Tokyo Mirage Sessions).

We did get Nocturn, and most of the Persona games are now multi-plat, but still, there's a lot of games that are stuck to just console.

I have been port begging for awhile for an HD version so it is a day one from me on PS5 even though i have the switch version. Hope it's as polished as P3Reload.

Barlos28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

I think this looks cool. I've never played an SMT game before, and I've only recently been getting into the Persona games - my first being P4G on the Vita. P5R is one of my all time favourite RPGs, and I'm currently playing P3R on my PS5 and loving it. I never did play this back on the PS2 so P3R is the first time I've ever played P3, and you're right it's very polished and very stylish, as Persona games tend to be. In spite of the graphical upgrades it does betray it's 2006 roots in some areas though.

I've got SMT V on my wishlist.

I only played SMTIII and i kinda meh on it due to very confusing puzzles and random encounters.

SMTV is different as it has a open world to navigate. And as Persona player you should know that SMTV has no dating sim or alot of story compared to P5. There are choices that affect the ending but I remember one or 2.

What 2006 roots were betrayed?

I almost buy this game on switch, good thing I resisted. Now I can finally play the enhanced version on PS5.
