Let's talk about those cons since you don't elaborate any of them...

Discourages solo-play
How? The battle pass does not discourage that, though the games balance does because it is brutal to solo missions.

Lack of variety at launch
This I can give you, the game has about 8 guns at launch with more on the way, but I ask this... Is this due to the battle pass? Or do you just want all the things unlocked by default?

Long grind
The battle pass grind is shorter then the Ship upgrades with samples, again this is nothing to do with a Battle Pass, and ALL grinding gets faster as you step up in difficulty.

Just a correction, the game has 14(?) primary and 3 secondary guns at launch. Actually a lot more than 8!

I don't see any cons to the system personally. I've already unlocked enough super credits just by playing the game to unlock the next premium pass and I think you can complete these warbonds quite quickly. Plus, if you don't... that's perfectly fine since they stay there forever. There's no FOMO.

They're really not battle passes at all. Just sets of DLC that they add to the game, and the fact that you can earn them without paying is huge.

Thank you! I was trying to remember off the top of my head, and even on that number that's not counting the Stratigem weapons either.

A temporary battlepass to me has always turned me off the concept it's like pay to grind out and spend every few moment playing just that one game to get to the end.

Not that I actually buy them in the first place I'm old-school and buy a base game and believe that should have all the content
