New Leaks Show Off Never-Before-Seen Illuminate Beams, Leaving the Helldivers 2 Community in Awe

The future of this game is bright… literally! By now, you’ve definitely fought Illuminate, and you’ve seen their signature purplish/bluish beams. However, new weapons, or even new units, might bring some more variety. So, the Helldivers 2 community was quite excited when the recent leaks gave a glimpse at some new Illuminate beams.

So, what should you expect next from the Squids? One of the most prolific Helldivers 2 leakers, IronS1ghts, shared their latest findings. Following the latest patch, this data miner found three new Illuminate beams in the files.

The OP explained: “This video shows two of the beams, the third one is a little more interesting and may get a dedicated post. These beams do not last a long time, so they will likely be fired in quick bursts. The first beam in this clip causes a very small amount of electrical damage, but it also stuns you (This may be a placeholder)”. You can also see the beams in the image below.

Players Are Looking Forward to Fighting Even More Challenging Squids

Obviously, the Helldivers 2 players loved these leaks of new beams, as they gave hope for new Illuminate technology, probably used by new Squid units. The players gladly tried guessing what was to come in the future.

Some players suggested that the third beam, the one that the OP hadn’t shared, might come from the previously leaked “Void Ship“. Other players suggested that the beams that were shown belonged to some technology connected to previously leaked units.

Now, over the last week, or rather, during the previous MO, players complained about Squids being boring again. However, one thing is for sure: if more units drop and the missions change a bit, the Illuminate will be much more interesting. PugPilot stated: “Yep, we’re cooked… We are absolutely cooked”.
