PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S Sales Comparison - December 2023

December 2023 is the 38th month the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the PlayStation 5 when compared to the aligned launch of the Xbox Series X|S by 1.86 million units.

In the last 12 months, the PlayStation 5 has outsold the Xbox Series X|S by 14.14 million units. The PlayStation 5 is currently ahead by 25.42 million units.

Exactly. Remember when the 360 had a 1 year head start over PS3 and we used to think 2 million more consoles was a big deal? Now PlayStation increases the gap by 2 million PER MONTH!

Think it's closer to 1.2 million a month not 2 million, but, still it's insane how much Xbox is being lapped. Especially when you consider the amount Xbox is outsold by is the lifetime sales of the Series S/X too

@Jin yeah i have a hunch that even if the rumors are true xboys gonna brag about MS profit about other platforms(we can already see it in cod). To these guys it not about games anymore. I dont have problems with nintendo, ps and pc fans, I just think the most dillusional fanboys are in green camp

Whether the green camp like it or not, this a major ''L'' for them and Xbox. MS could be making 100 more trillions and this will still be a huge embarrassment/defeat.

I guess they aren’t really racking the PlayStation Portal as a console cause I’ve not seen any numbers for the device yet.

It's a Peripheral device.it doesn't play games independent of PS5.

It's going to be, buy an Xbox if you want Game Pass, buy a Playstation if you want anything else, including owning Xbox games.
