If it comes with ps plus that would be cool

porkChop267d ago

It's for mobile and PC, not PS5 (at least at launch). It's most likely F2P with heavy monetization.

phoenixwing267d ago (Edited 267d ago )

Well that's kind of dumb I mean the fan base is mostly on playstation

I thought getting 1st party games day 1 on a subscription service was a bad thing, funny how that changes

Can't complain after the fact. Jim Ryan told ps fans the direction they were going. Should've protested then instead of cheering on sony for the sake of it.

Most people are, what rock are you living under?

ravens52267d ago

He's a xbox fanboy, what do you expect him to say lol

raWfodog267d ago

The vast majority of 'ps fans' were against the GaaS route that Jim Ryan was going, especially on this site. Please back up your claim that people were 'cheering' this on.

I'm sorry but who on Earth roamed around in Zero Dawn or Forbidden West and thought "Gee Whiz. We really need an MMO for this game"

Vengeance1138267d ago

It's the perfect game for it, taking down a huge Thunderjaw or TremorTusk with a guild of people Monster Hunter style is just common sense to have.
Horizon was made for the MMORPG genre.

CantThinkOfAUsername267d ago

Just add Co-op then. Monster Hunter isn't an MMORPG even if it fits the mold perfectly.

dumahim267d ago

"You know that thing you did by yourself in the games before? Well now we can turn them into arrow sponges so now you need a bunch of people to do it. It'll be great!"

Yes, I'm sure that's what people wanted.

EvertonFC267d ago

Actually I did, surely you've played the game and thought wow this with other gamers would be awesome?

-Foxtrot267d ago

Not really

I could see a co-op expansion in the style of Ghost of Tsushimas DLC but a full game? Nope.

thorstein267d ago (Edited 267d ago )

This makes a ton of sense. The lore has already been established. The world building is already done. Factions and expertise in skills are all there. A mythos and creatures...it's possible. But it's not Guerilla making it so that could be a problem (not that NCSoft isn't capable.)
