It's the perfect game for it, taking down a huge Thunderjaw or TremorTusk with a guild of people Monster Hunter style is just common sense to have.
Horizon was made for the MMORPG genre.

This makes a ton of sense. The lore has already been established. The world building is already done. Factions and expertise in skills are all there. A mythos and creatures...it's possible. But it's not Guerilla making it so that could be a problem (not that NCSoft isn't capable.)

Really? A tank? Nothing in the game has ever given me the impression that someone is going to be able to take sustained damage from robotic dinosaurs for very long. What the healers? Hippie chicks tossing herbs into the tank's mouth? Better be a good shot or he's going to die.

Maybe but horizon is very heavy in resource gathering and crafting for 3 out of 4 you mentioned , imagine having to craft for an hour everytime you have to engage in fights. I can only imagine them making a online store just to buy resources to pay to progress and win . Don't have time to farm .... just buy from market place lol

You're acting like they can't and won't modify the game mechanics to suit their needs. They'll probably have a bogus aoe heal ability or show them rubbing in a plant on the skin or doing first aid with a bandage animation.

Tank would be easy just give him/her a shield and some extra armor and call him/her a tank. And move the damage meter around.

THE best part of Horizon games, imo, is the robot enemies and combat.

Take that away, and I’ll most likely disregard it just like I disregard GT7 (at least until the VR mode sold me on VR overall).
