Report: God of War Remake Questions Denied by Sony From Being Asked in Dev Q&A

In a new dev Q&A session by a content creator, Sony has apparently not allowed questions regarding a God of War remake to be asked.

rippermcrip117d ago

This needs some major clarification. If the Q&A was about Valhalla then are we sure it wasn't a "only ask questions about Valhalla" thing and not specifically "don't ask about GOW remake"?

They would have lost it totally if they are working on a re-release of the 2018 episode on PS5.. its only the PS4 hype train that is selling PS5.. 1st party support is NULL

A remake of the original would be fantastic

Would they make it play like the original or make it like the softboot games.

TheColbertinator117d ago

Hopefully the original. I can't be the only person who enjoyed the style of God of War 2 instead of the new over the shoulder view.

Amplitude117d ago

Yeah honestly i'd be pretty bummed out if it played like the newer ones. Other than DMC there hasn't been any good hack n slash games in a long while

ravens52117d ago

It would have to play like 1-3.

Crows90117d ago

Of course you're not. Everyone enjoyed it. After 6 or so games it got a bit stale.

StoneTitan117d ago

You are not the only one but the new ones are so much more successfull. It is what it is :)

rgraf77117d ago

You’re not alone. It appears most gamers nowadays prefer RPG elements, talking and boring boat rides over the epic action of the originals.

Hope they take the same route as RE2 remake and make them completly new experiences but also familiar. Hope they go for 3rd person perspective and make the combat faster and more intense.

mkis007117d ago

Wouldnt really make sense to remake it with the modern games controls, as they were linear games( with some cool twists in level design). I would love to see what pandoras temple could look like on modern hardware. My favorite level/area in gaming.

Let Bluepoint loose on GoW. They will handle it respectfully

Dirty_Lemons117d ago

They need to be let loose on Bloodborne first 😁

“ It's a great excuse to jump back into the fray with videogame’s second favorite Spartan.”

So you’re saying that the game Hades and its star character, never played it, are bigger more well known and liked than Kratos and the God of War series?

Armyofdarkness110d ago (Edited 110d ago )

He obviously means Kassandra, right?

Gamehard110d ago

I don't think the MC from Hades is a spartan though. Not 100% sure, but yeah I don't know of any other spartan game character that's more popular than Kratos.

Psychonaut85110d ago

Im guessing he’s speaking more broadly and is referring to Master Chief as the most popular “Spartan”

Abnor_Mal110d ago (Edited 110d ago )

That’s likely who it is, I don’t if Master Chief can be considered a “true” Spartan like Kratos lol.

Master Chief Spartan label is just a rank given in the Halo military, sorry not a Halo gamer so I have no clue what their army is called in the game.

But is Master Chief really more popular as a Spartan, interesting question.
