Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons launched in 2013 and is compatible with all modern gaming consoles and PC, so why do we need a remake?
Originally developed by Starbreeze Studios and released in 2013, this modern remake from Italian developer Avantgarden S.r.l. switches from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 5 – adding a high-fidelity, 4K lick of paint to a timeless classic that still packs an emotional punch over a decade later.
WTMG's Heidi Hawes: "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is a fine game, and one I recommend playing. What disappoints me most is just how little was done to this version to set itself apart from the original. The gameplay remains untouched, other than a completely clunky and bizarre co-op mode. The main changes were an enhanced soundtrack and graphics, but the large majority of the game is exactly the same as it was before. If you’ve never played this classic previously, then Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is definitely worth your time. On the other hand, if you have played the original before, then there’s little reason for you to check out this remake, unless you simply feel like experiencing the game again."
"Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake" is an heartwarming revisit of a beloved classic. Finalboss review this 2024 version
i would agree with that.
its an odd decision, but yeh.
Why not do sequels? I see so many people saying Remake this and Remake that... I'd rather get current-gen sequels.
The game doesn't need a remake, but its a fun yet short game, so its probably not going to take a long time to remake it.
I do believe a brand new game would have been better, but we don't make those decisions, though I find to remake to be inoffensive anyway.
Doesn't need a remake or a sequel. Play it if you haven't. It's fantastic.
That art style should be pretty timeless, so I can't see a reason to remake this, why do we keep doing unnecessary remakes? Why do people keep buying them?
