Hideaki Itsuno just confirmed that the release date of Dragon's Dogma 2 will be "formally" announced tomorrow.
Dragon's Dogma 2 may have only recently been released, but it needs to get a sequel sooner rather than later due to its unofficial remake status.
Capcom's action role-playing game, Dragon's Dogma 2, has been struggling in terms of sales, even in the presence of discount offers.
I never played this series but I only heard good things about it..
as a gamer who follows gaming news, I do not think capcom gave this the marketing it deserves. Still on my radar..
Dragons dogma 2 is a good game. The biggest mistake Capcom made was allowing it to launch at 30 fps. When the game came out, all anyone was talking about was the performance of the game. The game has a dedicated fanbase and they should have given the sequel of the original the care it deserved.
Theyy did eventually improve the performance on console but many still do not know if you can play the game at 60 fps on base PS5 and Series X or if they need to buy a $700 console to enjoy this one game.
Yes I think the game is good but it didn't have the same impact as the original when it released. The pacing is very slow, it takes forever to travel anywhere and then what do you know, microtransactions to fast travel. Really scummy move.
....why do you lie? The stones are earned in game, if you just send ppl gifts, the max friendship is they leave gifts at your home where they leave these stones as a reward ften enough. Also there are the carts.

The director of the series left Capcom not long ago, so I think chances were already less than slim unfortunately. :(
I'm a big fan of the first game, and 2 was fun first time through, but the game really could use more in the way of replay value. Still holding out hope they release a DLC similar to bitterblack isle but I'm not holding my breath.

god I can’t wait. I’m thinking of doing another playthrough of the first before this gets released.
This was one of the most exciting announcements this year for me.
I first played Dragon's Dogma when PS+ gave out the PS3 version for free back in 2013, and I hated myself for not supporting it earlier bc I knew it hadn't performed as well as it should have. Aside from being just a well rounded action rpg, crawling on the beasts made me feel like such a badass. I really didn't think it had sold enough for Capcom to waste their time on a sequel though, but then the remaster released and more people seemed to be talking about what a sleeper hit it was.
Then the announcement came for Dragon's Dogma 2 this year and I about s*** a brick. Finally! 😭
