Hmmm, a roguelike mode? Wonder how that's going to work. Will it just be the same areas from the story mode or will it be something else entirely? Really interested to see, my curiosity is certainly piqued!

Interesting,, a roguelike mode, could be fun, and I am very interested in 3 cut levels for sure.

"No Return – A Roguelike Survival Mode"

"Lost Levels lets you explore early-development versions of three new levels not seen in the original"

" Live up to your musical potential with Guitar Free Play, which includes new unlockable instruments, or take on the new Speedrun Mod* and post your best times"

How the hell did the first Last of Us not get any of these kind of extra goodies when it came to its remaster and then remake.

Did any remake or remaster this year add extra goodies like this?

Anything NG does that is just fine gets called a rip off and anything good they do you ask why it wasn't added to past games. There is nothing they can do that you will like. This is Naughty Dog derangement syndrome.

-Foxtrot526d ago

Not really

I just think the first game is more universally loved so why not add scrapped levels, New modes and the like.

Rimeskeem527d ago

Oh, but how much are they asking given the game is less than 4 years old?

ModsDoBetter526d ago

£10 upgrade if you own the PS4 version.
Unsure of retail pricing, but I'd imagine full price if Part 1 was anything to go by.

blackblades526d ago

Part one was a remake from the ground up so that's obviously would be full price. Since this a $10 upgrade for ps4 users I say $50 either price it be you can always get the ps4 version for cheap like $20 and do a $10 upgrade

abstractel526d ago (Edited 526d ago )

Remade from the ground up is a bit misleading. All the gameplay mechanics were the same, that's a huge part they didn't have to worry about when they made the TLOU remake. This and TLOU 2 remaster are cash grabs. I do like that they announced that it will only be $10 if you already own it. If the rogulike mode is any good, I'll pay the $10 but I won't go through the campaign again.

gold_drake527d ago

see, nowTHAT is a remaster i dont mind.

dont make me pay full price tho. which is definitely going to happen haha

Eonjay526d ago

It's a $10 upgrade. So its fine.

RedDevils525d ago (Edited 525d ago )

Wait, is this an upgrade only if you own the digital version or physical as well?

Review - The Last of Us Part II: Remastered (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "The Last of Us Part II: Remastered is a beautiful mess. An ambitious title that had all the right ingredients, but didn’t always pan out the way it should. The excellent survival action gameplay that showcases humanity’s brutality is often let down by a story that is trying too much and has poor pacing. Thankfully, Part II’s debut on PC improves on the last game, making it the best place to play, even with its imperfections."

If the story is deeply flawed to the blogger and it's a story game, how does the blogger justify giving it a 9? A deep flaw is unacceptable in any part of the game. If everything else was perfect, it would be an 8 game. Deep flaws are foundational issues.

Let me help:

Graphics: 10

Sound: 10

Story: 8 (Overreliance on flashbacks. While the story beats are properly paced and the plot points are generally pacy, it tries to tell 2 stories at once, which led to a structural issue in the overall story, but despite this the message and mood are striking relevant.)

Gameplay: 8 (Turning in the game is awkward and it gets in the way or searching for stuff and the quick turn in combat doesn't feel intuitive.)

Overall: 9

The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered 2025 PC 4K (No DLSS) Incredible Forest Graphics

CG says: In this video, we take a look at the same forest section on horseback in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered that we showcased in 2020 on the PS4 Pro. It’s an amazing bit of exposition with not much happening aside from a bit of banter. However, taking it slowly rather than galloping past, the forest graphics are actually pretty detailed. One of the more beautiful moments from the game. PS4 Pro version holds-up pretty well (that output was upscaled 4K and back then, there was no DLSS or AI interventions that we know about).

This is an actual 9-10 game.

InUrFoxHole15d ago

Are you talking about the number of times it's been released?

badz14915d ago

still one of the best 3rd person action game out there

Abnor_Mal15d ago

I need to replay this gem soon, the combat is viscerally satisfying.

I just picked up my NG+ run as a refresher for the TV show. Game has aged extremely well! Gorgeous, brutal. Poor Yara really gets it. 😔

strayanalog15d ago

With the game getting mods in the near future, this release will be everything you could shake a golf club at.
