I also wouldn’t mind him returning as a villain in future Mario games, since that’s how he started. Bowser doesn’t always have to be the big bad.

Either him being the baddie, ala Mario Land 3, another Wario Land - it's been a while since the Shake Dimension - or, since the poor guy has been abused for long enough also, give Waluigi his due and make it the Wario Bros.

I miss those games. Wario Land was a fun mashup of platforming and puzzle elements that made backtracking actually fun and engaging.

I've always wanted Nintendo to develop in-house a big budget mainline Wario + Waluigi 3D platformer. Give Mario a break and let the goofy bad guys have a starring role for once!

Wario Land on GameCube was okay, but developed by Treasure and not in-house by Nintendo.
