Spider-Man 2 writers confirm huge step up for Miles Morales’s future

He needs his own game series imo, I felt like focusing on him a lot on the second game took away screen time from Peters and Harry’s relationship which would have made the Harry as Venom storyline overall better and more tragic. Would have been nice to play as Harry when he first started using his Symbiote powers and then continue to play him as he turned into Venom causing mayhem on the map.

Why not have Peter involved to finish things up, really tie up stuff up to give him a proper send off.

I just don’t know why they were rushing to push Miles rather than just waiting for the end of Peters trilogy before doing it

Just feels the films and upcoming films dictated the story a little in the second game.

Venom / Symbiote - Venom 3 will be coming out and I’m sure they will add Scream

Silk - Silk film was announced

I would not be surprised if Madame Webb is somehow in the next game and more Spiderverse references adding into the side mission we had with the spiderbots

I highly doubt he's done at all it's more of a I try and get out but they keep pulling me back in type deal. Pete and miles may intend something but the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

Not that my view counts at all but if they choose to make 3 I'd like to see other playable characters appear like punisher and daredevil (which actually seems plausible)

Am I the only one that hates playing as Miles due to his electric powers making the screen a visual clusterf#ck? Like it makes it so there's just so much glowing sparks and electricity that I can barely see wtf is going on

Yeah I think I prefer his abilities over Pete's untill a certain part of the game at least. However I'm playing with full fidelity vrr overclock and I don't have any weird visual issues or flickering like when the electric stuff happens I can still see everything as normal

I don't mind Miles as Spiderman I had fun with his single game and enjoyed him in Spiderman 2. But I can't wait for Wolverine and how Insomniac will pull that off. I'd like it if there was another Spiderman game I would want Michael Morbius in the game.

Nothing wrong with this but Insomniac think they made a passing of the torch game with Spider-Man 2 when they didn't. Spoilers but Miles got shafted for most of the main story in 2, future plot events make more sense when they involve Peter and Peter is finally on equal footing to Miles' new powers. Seems like the entire decision to retire Peter hinged on what was said during the Scream fight which doesn't make sense. What now the symbiotes are cool and reveal the truth on what should be done? Goes against what they established with Peter and Harry

By the end of sm mm we could see this he felt far more powerful than Pete with venom powers at the ready combat was more exciting.

However 2 feels fitting overall I don't want to say much from a story perspective as many people wouldn't have finished the game.

I actually don't like that the director has come out and said this so soon after release as a lot of players won't have beaten the game yet or even brought it and may be waiting for Xmas so this comment is really spoiler territory for many even if the story is highly predictable.

Guess we shouldn't expect much more after they decided to release the collectors edition statue they did for game 1

I can see spider-man 3 being 3 different playable spidermen characters having to save Pete. This is the closest we seen Pete getting to normal at the end of 2 but it’s still after losing so much. I don’t want them to take anymore away from him when you have other spider-men existing.

He’s been through enough and saving him will be poetic as it’s a legacy of heroes HE created. The he can have some time to nurture HIS life and family with MJ.

Why? Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Miles is Miles. I swear if they do make Spider-Man 3 all about Miles they can forget it. It would be like making an Arkham game starring Robin. Rather make Miles Morales 2 if you are so hellbent on forcing him down peoples throats.

He does not have Peter's history and is really not that fascinating....his love interest even less so ( I felt zero connection between them during their corny bumbling exchanges in Spider-Man 2. Rest of the game was top tier ).
