Three years on, we're finally getting to play actual games using cutting-edge tech like Lumen, Nanite and virtual shadowmaps, so just how well is the engine shaping up in actual shipping titles? Alex Battaglia checks out the first wave of UE5 games including Immortals of Aveum, Jusant, RoboCop: Rogue City, Remnant 2, Fort Solis and Desordre to discover where UE5 excels, where it needs improvements and how developers can better utilise the features it has for PC gamers.

After which, RoboCop will find himself scaling the OmniTower, a housing project turned death trap as he battles his way to the top in order to protect himself and the citizens of Old Detroit.
During this climb, you'll be aided by new characters and butting heads against people with ties to Murphy's past.

Taking place in Omni Tower makes me yearn for a Judge Dredd game. These guys could pull it off nicely.

such a fantastic game. and it plays great on the portal. If they ever add a VR2 support, then it would be perfect.
If you're on PC you can use UEVR, it works really well with Robocop. I'm Looking forward tho this DLC.

Man... i gotta step up my PC game. Havent built a new machine since 2010... and honestly i havent had the need to since I prefer consoles for all my gaming needs. Steamdeck has been good to supplement PC gaming that my old tower cant do.
This was such a great game, wished I played it sooner, but then I wouldn’t have the joy of discovering something everyone else already knew. So much fun that I actually went after the platinum and got it, although it’s really not difficult to achieve.
I will be waiting and watching for the release of the dlc for this great game.
Still a bit miffed they weren't able to perfectly recreate the auto9 sound from the first movie. It's a distinct sound and they just do not quite get there.

Yesssss. Been wanting to give Robocop a whirl! Getting 80's nostalgia-slammed this month it seems, I guess I'll give Texas Chainsaw Massacre a shot too. Dad had me watching that stuff at like 7 years old back in the 80's. XD Game on!
I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with Robocop, one of my favorite games this gen
I heard that it's really good. Too many games but I will definitely give this a go as it seems actioney and I will be able to play in small chunks.
RoboCop and Digimon are good games. I don’t know much about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I ffigured it was a multiplayer game and wrote it off.
I got rid of my copy of Robocop after finishing the game. Now I can get it through Plus to play the dlc releasing this summer.
One thing is for certain, people are gonna have to upgrade to much better hardware if they haven't already.
