Wonder looked great and had a fun idea or two, but also wondered if what was being showcased couldn’t have just been DLC for Mario Maker instead. Granted, with such a short and uncreative preview build, there’s little to assess about what to expect from the full game in general, besides the overall thought that yep, it is another 2D Mario. Guess I’ll have to wait for the final release to find out, but as of now, it felt just… fine, I suppose."

Yea, you can see why some developers and publishers are increasingly starting to skip XBox all together. Unless you're in a small minority of successful and highly played Gamepass games, you're pretty much taking a payout on your game just to rot and die on the service.
Not that surprising, the Switch has some killer exclusive titles, so people have to own a Switch to play them.
One unused Super Mario Bros. Wonder effect would have had Mario go live action, with Mario himself humming the music and mimicking sound effects.
I imagine a lot of these wonder effects especially the cut ones were imagined while the team were out drinking somehow
Super Smash Bros Ultimate will host a new Spirits event on March 21 to celebrate the release of Princess Peach Showtime! and Super Mario Bros Wonder. The event will last for five days with new Spirits from the Nintendo Switch games.
