Nothing in this article pointed to a release date, just talking in circles about information we already knew and the writer getting frustrated at the end about Metal Gear Solid 6 not getting announced.

DarXyde577d ago

The fact that they said:

"It’s been a long wait, but every passing day is another one closer to Silent Hill f’s release date. If you’re looking to find out when that exactly is, along with more about the game, then here are all the details the developers have spilled so far."

Followed immediately by:

"Silent Hill f does not have a release date yet. The game was originally confirmed in late 2022 with a cryptic teaser. Unfortunately, we haven’t had any update about it since."

Is profoundly irritating. Stupid clickbait nonsense. Part of me thinks this is AI generated.

Hey,
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry to have irratate you, that's indeed not the intention here.

They definitely used Chat GPT and forgot to proofread it. Lazy writing here! Man if that’s what it takes to be a writer for these articles, that got to be the easiest gig ever lol! Sign me up and I will add on good prompts for Chat GPT.

Hi FinalBoss,

I appreciate the reply, mate. I get that it's tough to stick out in gaming media because larger outlets have access. That is unfortunate because smaller outlets often understand the assignment and try to approach articles with nuance and insight. If I may make a suggestion, I would encourage your team to avoid misleading language. More importantly, I would consider doing a trailer analysis. Perhaps you notice something in it that others missed?

I don't want you to feel attacked, buddy. I don't like articles that lead with potentially exciting info, only to be let down. When there is nothing new to say but you want to write about something, an editorial style is a better approach.

Best of luck. Cheers.

Hi,

Yes you indeed nailed it, it's hard to compete with bigger gaming websites, even if I believe, smaller websites like us and many are still more passionate than bigger media.

Indeed nobody like being attacked, but you re right, and we had to do better a better job. I'm gonna forward your feedback to the writer.
We will be definetely works to improve that.
Thanks for the feedback mate

I think it's wild that we haven't seen anything and have barely heard anything about any of all these Silent Hill games since their announcement.

What If Silent Hill’s Curse Started in Japan?

Could Silent Hill f be the true beginning of the franchise’s curse? Explore how 1960s Japan, red spider lilies, and generational trauma might explain the entire Silent Hill mythos.

I don't think it would have started in Japan considering it gives off the impression in previous games that Silent Hill was founded on sacred land to Native Americans with special powers that ended up being corrupted over time, so this whole thing was around a lot longer than whatever happens in the 1960s.

GameGeeked5d ago

Good point! The Native American lore definitely predates the 1960s. Silent Hill was built on land considered sacred long before settlers showed up. This theory just suggests Silent Hill f might be the origin of the curse itself, and what we see in the town later is how that curse evolved over time.

Inverno3d ago

Kojima had it right when it was planned to be "Silent Hills" cause it could've easily been used to imply that multiple cultures around the world had a similar curse.

Scissorman2d ago

I read this really great theory the other day that the main character is actually older and living in Silent Hill, but the town is forcing her to relive the events from her past when she was a young girl in Japan.

romen5642d ago

Set in 1960s Japan, Silent Hill f is decades before the original Silent Hill game (which takes place in the 1990s). This post-war era in Japan was one of transformation, caught between traditional rural life and rapid Westernization. That tension alone is fertile ground for horror, especially one rooted in loss of identity, cultural alienation, and buried trauma—recurring themes in the Silent Hill franchise.

I rather they not explain it all. Somethings should be left unknown it's more interesting that way.

Silent Hill f is rated 'Playable' on Steam Deck, but the system requirements don't look promising

Silent Hill f Steam Deck compatibility has been updated to Playable, but we're still worried about its performance based on the requirements.

This means it doesn't work very well.
