I just feel the overall story is done, I don't where else they could go.
Snake in MGS4 is pretty old, his ageing will not get any better unless they come up with some plot driven device which cures him.
At the end of the day I feel MGSV should have been half a new game and then slowly transitioned into a remake of the original two Metal Gear games so the series came full circle.
Not really but it just felt like with Kojima wanting to be done with the franchise he really hammered in that it couldn't be cured. I mean I feel it's the reason he gave us the concept of Old Snake to begin with.
The only part of the story that hasn't been explored is what the original Metal Gear Solid: Rising would have been. In the MGS app on PS3 there was an entry added about Raiden infiltrating Area 51 with Big Mama to save Sunny. Raiden gets captured by the Patriots and turned into a cyborg before MGS4. That plot could have made for an excellent game.
True, though having that feedback they could have made him much more interesting in MGSR. It would have taken place after everything that happened in MGS2, so he would have been suffering from PTSD, his separation from Rose, etc. He would likely have been much less whiny by that point.
He had a talk with Big Boss and decided not to do it
Apparently (just looking this up) there was a novel Kojima says in canon where Snake travels with Otacon all over the world in his final days and dies peacefully with a smile on his face
So even then Konami would have to say it’s not canon.
They wouldn't even let him finish MGS5. He got cut off 2/3 of the way through. They're not going to let him have a budget to make the type of MGS6 he'd want to make. And I doubt he would return anyway after the way he was treated. He has his own studio now. His focus is elsewhere.
Yeah... we not giving you a click lol. The point is this article is pointless. We all know that it is highly unlikely that Kojima works on any future metal gear title. We don't need an article to propose a question and proceed to give an answer we already know.
He tried to escape the series for years, I doubt he'd come back now he's finally free. I did put everything he got into the series, but a lot of the games were supposed to be the last.
I'm not sure about this one because Konami is making a ton of money in the mobile space and Kojima is guaranteed a huge budget for whatever project he wants to do being the absolute legend that he is.
Dude. Stop dreaming like a 13 year old. No way in hell is Konami letting Kojima (aka mr. use Konami’s money on personal and side projects) touch THEIR IP ever again.
Bridge burnt. Earth Salted.
Get over it.
"Get the latest scoop on Metal Gear Solid 6: unveiling potential release dates, gameplay features, and Kojima's involvement."
- There are no scoops.
- There is no potential release date
- No one knows any gameplay features for a game not in development
- Kojima is not involved
The whole point of him leaving was that he was sick of doing MGS. That was like his first interview he said that after leaving. Would u wanna go back to an old job when your doing just fine at the newer one? MGS was cool, but it's time to let him pursue other ideas. Personally I'm glad to not see him return. Brilliant minds can do brilliant things when they don't have an entirely established universe that contains what there ideas are or are not limited by.
I doubt he'd go back to Konami after what they put him through. Before all of that, he'd been wanting to do something else.
I wouldn't be interested in an MGS6 at this point, all the talent that made those games unique have moved on. Konami would be better off trying something new.
If I remember this correctly, Didn't Kojima want to stop after 3 but was then convinced to do 4 and then was convinced to do 5. I'm under the impression he didn't want to do MGS anymore
We may get a mgs 6, but definitely not with kojima at the helm :(
No, he's done, let him be done

with Kojima?
probably not no.
Konami might make one.
