“Mon-Yu presents an old-school RPG formula in an accessible way that'll still force you to strategise when it comes to both traversal and combat. Because of that, it's one of the most rewarding and enjoyable dungeon crawlers that I've ever played.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
“I thought there have been loads of great indies this year then bam! September hit with an indielanche so let's hand out some awards.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "Mon-Yu is exceedingly well-coded, runs well, and is just exceptionally boring. The story is cookie cutter, there’s zero stakes ever, and the exhaustively long name just proves that there was the intent to distract from the very beginning. This can be fun if you’re a real dungeon junkie and just want to make a team of different catgirls to wreck house over and over again. Don’t expect anything more than surface level and you’ll be fine. But if you’re hoping for an exceptional crawl, you’re going to be quite disappointed."
Aksys Games has announced a western release window for Mon-Yu, the Experience-developed dungeon RPG. Mon-Yu is coming west sometime in fall 2023 for Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.
I love when niche games get physical releases . Old school first person dungeon crawler I’ll most likely get it
Excellent dungeon-crawler! Can't wait for fellow genre fans to be able to play this. 🎮😄
