There's inspiration here, but not enough magic to back it up.
It was bound to happen - take the old-school Cuphead visual style and run with it. It's that which Enchanted Portals on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC is looking to do. And it seems to be doing so with aplomb.
Except unlike cuphead, strip away the visuals and you're left with a very, very bad and broken game.
Enchanted Portals is clearly influenced by Studio MDHR's modern classic but will it manage to be more than a replica?
