Seriously Chris. What is with the videogamer.com Reddit copy paste 'articles'....this is not journalism. Just in the last 24 hours we have 2 articles lifted directly from Reddit posts.....thumbnails and all.

Yep… I’m going to copy/paste this comment every time this comes up, because I’m yet to see a response from Christopher on it

On a story I submitted 1974 days ago, titled “Top Requested Sea of Thieves Features From The Community”, Christopher failed the submission for the following reason:

“Community feedback like this isn't newsworthy. Community is constantly providing feedback, but it's public opinion and not professional opinion.”

With that in mind I have 2 questions:

1. Are the guidelines different now, and are these types of stories allowed to be submitted by anyone from any source?

2. Is this only allowed because N4G’s parent company owns videogamer.com?

this place is an absolute shitshow. I wish they'd clean this shit up and get back to actual news articles and not all this stupid shit.

Vengeance1138267d ago

Of course Christopher would allow videogamer articles on here lol Same quality person as the articles.
This place sure is going downhill fast.

It's been crap for about 10 years, far better in N4G early life.
I don't even know why I keep coming tbh, eurogamer is crap now, IGN crap.
In fact there all shite these days imo.

It’s funny watching gamers age. Going from fandom to old cranky men wishing for the past.

Make sure kids get off your lawn too.

Jin_Sakai267d ago (Edited 267d ago )

I believe the owners of N4G push him to post videogamer.com articles since they also own that website. Regardless, this need to change asap!

Seriously...who gives a f.ck??

I feel like the second big update that releases late this year will do just that. Part of the story expansion is also new means of transportation on planets.

P_Bomb4d ago

A good DLC could turn some heads. The Destiny games got momentum that way too.

piher4d ago

What player spike?

I checked steamcharts through the link in the article and it went from 8,000 to 11.500, so yea 20% but when the game peaked at 330,000 It's safe to say that the actual effect of this update was negligible.

LostPotato4d ago

Doubt it'll ever get redemption. As many developers have said in various interviews it's beyond saving.

Just release the mod tools and expansion and move on.

Profchaos4d ago

Cyberpunk 2077 had some strong bones i disliked it on launch because I could see the potential I could see the strengths of what they wanted to achieve but it wasn't done yet

They didn't get the memo the game is dead and the Bethesdabots only want magic and fantasy.

Boy_the_CowRoy3d ago

Starfield fans? The game only has 9 thousand current players, worldwide! As a company you cannot waste time on creating "Major features", it is simply not profitable. Just move on.
