Very much so.

The atmosphere in this game is a massive win.

Everything is built for you to ease into roleplaying that space adventurer or bounty hunter etc.

I'm glad they did not go NMS lego builder. That game lacks atmosphere. Its ok for a bit, but its highly fake-ish flight model, pew pew that feels like a modder add on and the massive lack of any serious roleplay.

I thoroughly enjoyed NMS for about a solid month when it released and I know Hello Games has put a lot into it. They were going for a lonely, ethereal experience and they did a great job making you feel like a blip in the universe. But ultimately its seamless and expansive nature it is also what makes it so limited.

Sure, you can go here and there, and then over there. But, what *is* here and there and over there? Procedural potatoes of planets devoid of any depth. Once you're over it you're over it.

Since fallout 3? Soooo Vegas was bad? They bugging lol

MrChow666264d ago

didn't Obsidian make that one?

Snookies12264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

Vegas wasn't made by Bethesda. It was just published by them.

I'm enjoying it so far, though the fact that the ship sections are so limited compared to something like NMS is a little disappointing. But I guess they were up front about that.

Complicated map, inventory management, poor, lack of flying like NMS, poor enemy AI and clunky shooting mechanics seems to be what most have reported as negatives so far but there enjoying the game for the most part.
Seems like a 7.5 - 8.5 seems about the right score from what I'm reading.

He's right.

You're honestly delusional if you think a game as detailed and asset-filled as Starfield was going to be able to pull off what NMS did with it's procedural potato blob planets.

JEECE263d ago

Yeah I don't love the map or inventory. It will be interesting to see what solutions the mod community can come up with.

@EvertonFC Your opinion is always awful and not worth reading.

🤷‍♂️ didn't draw me in as much as fallout 3, skyrim or oblivion. Combat felt a lil better than 4 and space exploration was kinda mid and didn't feel as good as no mans sky plus the bugs and inventory is pretty annoying

Christopher264d ago

I find this a valid opinion. I am feeling much the same. While I am getting old of the Bethesda character intros, this one was bare bones compared to Fallouts and Skyrim. There is a severe lack of urgency throughout the main story so far that is weird.
