Report: Armored Core 6 Engine is the Same as Elden Ring and Sekiro

how is it dated exactly? do you think they are going to just not make a singe iteration on their own in house engine since their last release?

AC6 will obviously be running the latest versions of their own in house engine /development software.

Well that doesn't bode well for PC performance considering Elden Ring is still a nightmare on any PC (save for Steam Deck since Valve fixed the performance themselves) 18 months post-launch.

New engines or use UE5. But many studios kept using their old engines for far longer. Look at Bethesda and Valve. Both have recently updated their engines after such a long long time

What really sucks is Kojima created a whole new engine “Fox engine” which is great for big games yet Konami I don’t think licensed it out to anyone. And now Kojima has been using the Decima engine

It's incredibly difficult to just "make" a new engine. It's most likely the hardest thing to attempt within the field of gaming development. Even if a company spent enormous amounts of money on R&D for a new engine. There's a chance it just won't come together the way they want it to. Then they'd have to take a loss on all that time and money spent, and fall back to something else entirely. It's why so many game developers use UE5. It's reliable and easy to utilize.

This game looks better than Elden Ring and Sekiro anyway! This game have all the bells and whistles to wow many gamers, and this is another game developer to support! Your not gonna get Microtransactions, and Battlepasses to play this game! Ok...Again! This year is stacked with games, and we gonna have the most packed 3 months of gaming in history! And if anyone here is still complaining, well I guarantee many of you will still be preoccupied with games this year, all the way into 2024!

IDK but that pandemic gave alot of game developers time! Yes some games need patches, but it's just the norm now! Even game developers that say their game is bug free, and framerate stable still needed a patch after launch(Final Fantasy 16). Armored Core 6 will be one of those surprising hits that get 9/10 or even a 10/10! I have a great feeling that game of the year will be very competitive this year! More than usual.

It runs From Software's own custom made engine. Obviously they would continue to develop their own in house engine as they develop future games. 100% you can expect the newest version of this engine to have aspects catered just for AC6.

This is a stupid article, of course it runs on the same engine!!!!!! I mean how retarded of a thought is this.
What engine is that might you ask, uh the proprietary engine they developed in house! The one they spent millions of dollars in man hours developing over years and years.

So its also wrong to just assume its going to run the same as previous titles. Obviously they are improving their own engine along with the game, probably catering the more recent iterations of it specifically for AC6.

So everything about what this article implies is just ignorant.

I'm one of the biggest from soft fans and while I'm fine with AC6 having this engine, I'm really hoping the upgrade the engine soon or make a new one for the next souls type game . Would love something on par with demon souls remake visuals
