Red Dead Redemption PS4 Pro Enhanced Confirmed In PS Store Listing

The PS Store has confirmed Red Dead Redemption PS4 Pro enhancements for the upcoming PS4 port of Rockstar Games' classic Wild West title.

It is confirmed to be 30 fps at 4K on PS5. This is a huge let down.

I mean, that's a R* decision. They're doing least amount possible it seems here. More would be better, but that's not the fault of the PS5 or how the game is still held back by the PS4.

There was definitely a meeting at Rockstar where greedy Take Two overlords said, why would we update the game when we can release the port first and make more money? Makes cents, from a greed standpoint, and to expect any other outcome when dealing with corporations is foolish. They will update this game some day, when all other cash out options to make money off of it are exhausted

Price being $50 is very subjective. Nintendo has been charging full price for ports for years now. For anyone who has never played RDR it’s worth it because it’s an amazing game

But for those who have played before I think it would make sense to wait a little longer and get it cheaper later. There maybe million of fans who have never played it before so would it be surprising if it ends up being one of the best selling games of its launch month

Like going out to the bar 5 years ago versus today, people need to realize the industry and the developers were really up against it the last few years—we will continue to see the results with lazy cash grabs, unfinished games, delays, and zero innovation. Games like BG3 and Starfield aside, consumers need to take note and realize the new climate we are now in. Redfall launch and COD being first DLC and now a standalone are great examples of devs doing shady stuff and still struggling to finish projects and push them out. Devs should be called out and consumers still need to be buyer beware.

I firmly believe they did it on purpose, get the people to buy at full price, then bring a 60fps update further down the line and put the game on sale when it does, well, I hope it does because I've seen the digital foundry analysis and I honestly wouldn't mind as is but at 60fps.

I still wouldn't pay £40 brand new but if it came to £20 with a 60fps update, I'd definitely buy it.

I love rockstar and usually I'm a sucker, I bought the GTA definitive edition day one, yes, I was very let down, the rain and most of the character models for me but I'm not gunna lie, I've enjoyed it after all the patches and everything, still not the best but it was nice to be playing them at 60fps, just hope Red Dead does too, fingers crossed
