This comes off as it was made for PlayStation 4 then ported around good chance the overall design/scope was held back do too the power of the ps4 they should have kept it on the ps5/pc only.

anast619d ago

I agree. I'm still going to play it though.

BrainSyphoned619d ago (Edited 619d ago )

Ya, Elden Ring being only one GB larger than Armored Core was so bad because of the PS4. Such a small pathetic game, if they wouldn't have held it back Elden Ring might have been a game with an ok design/scope. 43.3gb AC, 44.47 Elden Ring.

Dandizzle619d ago

Yeah Elden Ring and pathetic game are often found in the same sentence...

WolfSeed619d ago

They made it for PS4 as well?! Mother F...

More people get to experience it. As long as it's optimized well for those systems, I don't see a problem.

This is a moronic conversation, file size is not a direct indicator of scope or size or performance of the game. File size mostly just represents texture/ cutscene/ and music/voice data. Not all games need the same amount of that, clever optimization, and use of shaders over textures can bring the file size down quite a bit.
Plus this AC game sure looks to rely more on shaders than giant texture files, which would result in less texture data needed.

I know, man.

It's like when people were saying a PS1 game being 4 discs must mean it's like a massive 100 hour game, but really it's all the FMV and spoken dialogue.

Hilarious.

So now they will focus on quality? lol

blackblades436d ago

To be fair, they the only ones. Square and other Japanese devs been lacking is quality for a long time and they made up for it in good games.

SilentZeroX435d ago

Capcom, Nintendo, and Atlus are far better than Bandai, and you can't really count FromSoftware as one of Bandai's studios.

blackblades435d ago

@silent yeah I know, i ment to put a few. Example square gives quality to FF, with SO and valkyrie nope. Koei quality been eh but there games are fun. Its not just Japanese though.

1Victor436d ago

Good let’s hope others follow them before the industry get too close to collapsing again.

-Foxtrot436d ago

Yeah…when they realised we’re not all massive suckers

Pepsi_Man3000436d ago

Absolutely insane that quality wasn't already a focus

H9436d ago

That's the most insane statement I have ever heard, it's basically saying "from now on we will try to make good games"

CrimsonWing69436d ago

I mean, why in the f*ck wasn’t this the priority from the get-go? Now that you see consumers aren’t going to swallow up your dribble for full price you have to make the announcement that you’re focused on making “quality” games now? What a joke.

jznrpg436d ago (Edited 436d ago )

Quality should always be the focus and that will get you $$$$. Though I have to say Bandai Namco has made some great games but some of their anime stuff could be better quality
