Modern Warfare 3 Code Confirms It's Essentially MW2 DLC

Insider Gaming writes: "Modern Warfare 3 game code that has been found in the PlayStation database suggests that this year’s title is nothing more than MW2 DLC.

In collaboration with PlayStationSize on Twitter, Insider Gaming has been given a deep dive into the code of this year’s Call of Duty title. Call of Duty has always faced criticism for being the same product every year and whilst there’s no denying it’s a winning formula, this year’s title is slightly different from the rest. What’s particularly interesting this year is that Modern Warfare 3 content will be coming via add-ons for MW2."

no shock over here modern warfare 3 will come for $70 usd be full of cheaters and or pay to win mechanics but have tens of thousands devoted to it.

I can see the headlines were if you do not play mw3 your not human or i ignored my family to play mw3 like that streamer that ignored his kid going to the er to play wow.

They should just sell you it on a per month plan $20 a month or some crap everyone will buy that and say its a amazing fps with brand new never before seen tech.

I say this as someone that got mw2 free via a intel gpu purchase and when i load it up i get a non skip-able add 4 store popups then the netflix ui 4min later get into a match full of no lifers raciest Americans and or whales.

CoD should have always been an Infinity Ward franchise. It's not supposed to be a thing where a developer creates a game then the publisher just lets other random developers also make games under the same title

I’d agree with you if other devs weren’t successful with their spin-offs, but I’m pretty sure Raven Studios were praised for WaW zombies and BO2.

I’d amend what you said by saying each dev should stick to their franchise, like MW and Black Ops.

If they price it appropriately (which they won't) then I would prefer the DLC model for story content over buying a whole new game every year.

The main reason I've stopped playing CoD was because as soon as the next one came out the previous one was essentially left to die. Would be easier to keep a healthy multiplayer population and give the single player people what they want if they just released the one CoD and then use DLCs for furthering the story and arsenal updates because let's be honest, these games do not change nearly enough between releases to warrant a new game
