I think I'm gonna wait until Zen 5 to jump into PC gaming.

I've had to do quite a bit of self educating, but it definitely seems like a great time to get into it.

AMD isn't as popular as Nvidia, and that's unfortunate. They do great things with the technology. We'll see how we fair on drivers.

Darxyde picking amd gives you lots of upgrade paths down the road. Something I'm suffering from when I didn't do the research. I got a pre-built and didn't realize my cpu and motherboard were integrated from Intel. I am having a great time with my PC but I'll be starting from square one due to my blunder in a few years.

That's interesting. Appreciate the input, mate. Motherboards will be another matter that I will certainly need to brush up on. As for CPU, well, I intend for both the CPU and GPU to be AMD. I know Nvidia is more popular, has image reconstruction tech etc etc etc, but really, if I can run my games at 60fps, I'm good. No need for full 4K either. I can honestly say that 120fps@1440p is where my mind is at for a gold standard. Even 1080p is fine, really. If we get a ton of great horror games, then I'll give more thought to things like ray tracing. Otherwise, I'd be fine.

“No further details have been given about how to enter the giveaway”

Wow, so helpful.

FinalFantasyFanatic292d ago

I don't really need a new CPU, but I really want to spring for that chance at a new GPU, and there's no way to even enter at this time.

JeffGUNZ292d ago

haha right? Here, we are gonna give these away, but we don't know when or how you have to enter. Good luck!

I feel like the second big update that releases late this year will do just that. Part of the story expansion is also new means of transportation on planets.

P_Bomb5d ago

A good DLC could turn some heads. The Destiny games got momentum that way too.

piher5d ago

What player spike?

I checked steamcharts through the link in the article and it went from 8,000 to 11.500, so yea 20% but when the game peaked at 330,000 It's safe to say that the actual effect of this update was negligible.

LostPotato5d ago

Doubt it'll ever get redemption. As many developers have said in various interviews it's beyond saving.

Just release the mod tools and expansion and move on.

Cyberpunk 2077 had some strong bones i disliked it on launch because I could see the potential I could see the strengths of what they wanted to achieve but it wasn't done yet

They didn't get the memo the game is dead and the Bethesdabots only want magic and fantasy.

Boy_the_CowRoy4d ago

Starfield fans? The game only has 9 thousand current players, worldwide! As a company you cannot waste time on creating "Major features", it is simply not profitable. Just move on.
