***The issue is that Valve treats all bans like VAC bans, which display on your profile, blocks you from Valve official giveaways, and significantly lower your trust factor in CS:GO.***

Seems like it's more important to not have bans put on by developers treated like VAC bans to me. A ban from 7 years ago on a profile probably gets ignored by gamers, let alone I don't think people even look at other peoples' profiles to begin with unless they are already friends. The bigger issue is a third-party being able to affect Valve-provided services. That's a bit of power that should be reserved for Valve alone and seems like a cop-out default action on Valve's part.

It is annoying happened to me on a game i had not even played for over a year and just randomly got banned on steam.
Had to go the extra effort just to clear that out. The game was Lost Ark. I guess their automated ban system got me somehow for not playing i guess lmao. I only tried the game for a week and this is what i got for it lol extra headaches.
Having that on display like i'm some kind of cheater was not great since it wasn't legit to begin with. Maybe some kind of time period to resolve the issue before plastering ur profile with something like that would be appreciated.
