WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Aliens: Dark Descent is one of the best Aliens games, period. That said, there are a few caveats. It perfectly recaptures the same action-horror vibes that made the original movies such a treat to watch. It’s a tactical, hardcore, strategy game that doesn’t hold your hand at all. If you are a fan of the franchise, this is an absolute must-play, but be aware that it is far from perfect and there are still some frustrating decisions here."
Great news for Steam Deck users, the April Humble Choice has dropped, and it's chock-full of great games. How do you like it?
Additional activities this December to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.

Wow! I was just contemplating getting It takes Two just a few hours ago… and then this. Nice!
It's a decent month you don't already own those games. Not sure if I will renew my membership though
If you've got an Alien itch you can't quite scratch until Alien: Rolumus releases, GameSpew has rounded up the best Alien games to tide you over.
At first I found this game somewhat dull. Until I noticed just how deep the rpg style involvement in the marines actually is. The marines can become mentally fatigued, suffer from exhaustion, ect, and you have to track these issues. Giving them time to recuperate, giving them promotions, withdrawing them from combat if the team takes too big a hit (this can involve marines doing a "buddy carry" to bring them to evac), redeployment for missions when marines are ready. It made the experience feel much more involved. Now I find myself playing the game often and truly enjoying it.
