Baldur's Gate 3 Gets New Release Dates & Impressive Details - It'll Be a Very Big Game

Today Larian Studios announced new release dates for Baldur's Gate 3, and PC is getting earlier than expected, while the PS5 version is coming a little later.

Pushed forward on PC, slightly delayed on PS5.

And delayed on Series X because of the Series S is holding it back. That's the technical hurdles he's talking about

Yea I was primarily referring to the PC version ... Larian being a PC first studio and Baldur's Gate being originally a PC focused franchise.

The size and scope of this game is actually scary. They're saying this game is 4 times bigger than Divinity Original Sin 2. I played that game once and it took 137 hours. Could Baldur's Gate 3 actually be 500 hours long for a thorough player? I get the feeling I won't even be halfway done with BG3 by the time Starfield comes out.

I emailed Larian and asked after I couldn't find any physical preorder at Best Buy or Amazon. I asked them to reconsider, suggesting a preorder window with limited print-run. I asserted that I and others would even pay a reasonable premium.

I mean I was planning on getting digital anyways, but that's a huge bummer for those that prefer to have the disc!

I'm glad I did early access for this game if the outcome is truly what they're building it up to be. I haven't really played it I just gave them the early access payment in hopes that it would eventually make for a fantastic game in the end. Will play the final build on pc on steam.
