State of Decay 3 Raises the Bar for Zombie Gaming

Since my comment with important info about whether or not I played it was marked as inappropriate here it is again with just that info.

The additional modes were added as dlc after release. I was no longer playing state of decay when that happened so I didn't know.

I think this could be summer 2024 title so we should see some more coverage on it soon. Hopefully developers can really make a game from their original vision that they could be proud of and is fun for gamers

The hordes Sod already had is intimidating if they had Days gone level hordes it would be too overwhelming. Sod zombies don't go down easily like days gon. Only headshots 1 tap them otherwise you gotta blow half a clip in them.and that all body if you hit limps their arms and legs come off but they'll still come after you. Plus stamina is already hard too manage. A DG level horde would have to be like final boss type sht for SOD.

Author states raising the bar but shows nothing about raising the bar.

I think it could be a decent game but raising the bar is doubtful. This isn’t one of those studios that makes high end quality.

State of Decay 2 is definitely one of the best Zombie games out there. Too bad it launched in such a bad state it turn people away (including me). It’s so much better now and the series is full of potential. I hope the devs really take their time with this and get it right.

Seeing how it has zombies animals had me going crazy lol. Traveling thru the woods at night just got a lil tougher. Now I gotta master 1 tapping zombie deer. SoD quickly became my favorite zombie game. It brings the survival horror you see from movies like dawn of the dead. That a lot of other zombie games don't bring. Not haveling a mainline linear story and permanent death opened more doors for the game than other zombie games. A bigger budget to up the graphics and animations is all they really need to be head and shoulders above the rest.
